Agam I don't think she will on this one....... too many people split on this one.....she will need to pull a DD switch-around on this one...she will need to fool the pro-choice people into thinking she is on their side while also being pro-life at the same time......Kind of like knowing but not knowing Joeyboy at at the same time...... :)
She did the same thing with the North Scranton/Central school issues She campaigned all over the place that she supported the issues. After receiving the support and endorsement of the group trying to reopen the schools, and using their support system, she voted against both of the resolutions to pursue rehabing the buildings. She is a such a dirtball Hey..... is she still still on workman's comp? She didn't lose an arm or anything walking by the Latin class did a she? If English class is that dangerous imagine what Latin class must be like.... the kids will need hardhats.
Below please find a response from David Evans concerning this particular post.
to correct a lie told by IHAVE 9/7/09 that Janet voted against a resolution to reopen Central and NS. 7-2 vote against opening those schools. MaryKay DelRosso and Janet voted to open them. Brazil and the others voted no. It's public record. Janet is not on comp, oh by the way. Oh, Hello again. Hope your summer went well. David

Wow queen janet hit the jack pot with dave ! huh over on dd this guy got called all sorts of names, got crazy abusive emails for saying he saw janet drunk.I guess they are a match made in heaven.Over here its true freedom of speech with out the abuse. How nice.
I'm wondering why someone who has a legitimate work injury needs a lawyer to help "prove" that the injury was work-related? Oh, wait, I forgot that we are talking about someone engaged in the highly strenuous, extreme physically demanding activity of teaching HIGH SCHOOL ENGLISH. I mean there must be hundreds of thousands of injured HIGH SCHOOL ENGLISH teachers out there. Picking up copies of Moby Dick must be tougher than I imagine.
...the injury was not work related? ...that Janet Evans is finding yet ANOTHER creative way to get money from taxpayers (apparently the $80,000+ is not enough...now she wants money for NOT working) ...her vow not to campaign just happens to coincide with a race where she has no real competition?
Cynicism aside, I find it AMAZING that the likes of Fay 'Foam @ the Mouth' Franus continue to blindly follow this lady. Give Ms Evans credit for this much: she has a knack for fooling the weak-minded.
A Prediction: her injury will not prevent her from seeking higher office in the future. Apparently teaching HIGH SCHOOL ENGLISH may be much more physically demanding than being a state representative or Mayor of Scranton.

I honestly didn't see the paper yesterday ... I did buy it but didn't have time to look at it ... I'm going to have to read that article.

Yeah, the old girl can't sit at her desk with a donut on her seat for any length of time, but boy she can sure pontificate while sitting up on her council throne. She's probably got QuasiDavo smelting the gold for her crown as we speak.
::: I personally think her back is damaged from carrying around that enormous head.... anyone else agree? ::: it's not so much the enormous head, it's the two faces that go along with it! And the weight of the crown ....
Wait a sec, tdidn't the kids JUST go back to school. Doesn't that mean that she had all summer long to nurse that bad knob back to health? No wonder she needs a lawyer.
The silent is deafing across the hall on the Times news article. Joey Boy must be working overtime deleting any posts that address the issue and sending out PM's to the groupies to zip it!! LOL LOL This issue must have them very worried and it should.
They never go against their queen. And even if they wanted to ... well like you said ... Joey would be busy deleting ... so what's the point.
Just a thought on this ... if she can sit for 3 or 4 hours up on the dias ... why can't she sit in her classroom??? Just a thought that is going through my mind ...

Oh one other thought ... if she does win the comp case ... would she be allowed to be a council member as that is a job ... so when one is out on comp from one job they are not allowed to work their second job ... wouldn't that be considered insurance fraud???

To engage in insurance fraud, there has to be some attempt at deception. Ms Evans' ability to sit through Konsil meetings is well known, and it likely plays some part in the on-going "negotiations" over her workman's comp. claim (and therefore probably can't be considered "fraud"). The REALLY interesting part of this story is that she has engaged a lawyer, which to me says that she either has had a claim denied or strongly believes that she will have a claim denied. My guess...the District is probably fighting this one, but smartly keeping it out of the press, less Janet play the "poor me, injured victim" part.
