As usual Agame, WRONG AGAIN! She was up 328 over Chris as usual with 3 precincts to be counted. 8990 is the number as of now. Yes she is working. Ask Lus she sees her in school. Janet sat in a chair from 4pm to 8pm and then I took her home. Her back has a hairline fractured vertibre a disk or two bulged. I am truely touched by your concerned. When Fay Franus emails her this as she always does, I'm sure Janet will also be touched.
Lus. What in Gods name are you talking about? Each candidate did separate and personal mailings or calls. Each did seperate radio ads. Frank Joyce was one of the best workers we've seen. Those two young men were the eyes, ears and mouth for Janet as they knocked on over 10,000 doors in two months. TEN THOUSAND !!!!! I can't even imagine what the numbers would be if Janet actually campaigned. Don't knock any of the three because the loyalty they share in unbreakable. Give them credit because they worked as a team while fooling the competition into beleaving they were working down the middle. Honestly Lus, I respect you for your logic and your beliefs but don't presume to speak of something you know nothing about. Your girls lost. Your man won but actually lost. He probably has the next seven months to reach out to Janet and start to do the right thing for the citizens. If he doesn't I am quite sure this new council will show him how it's done. Thinking past all of that, I truely believe that the city will soon be better with Chris and Janet working together for the same goal. If not, Madam President won't be to blame. She has reached out to him twice before and got the door slammed in her face. It will work or everyone will lose. I believe that in my heart.
I got a mailing from all three ... and then I got a mailing from Pat Rogn ... that's what I am talking about .. and you are the one that said that Rogan did a mailin to South Side Residents look back at your own words .... Joyce was the one who did everything as a team ... he was the only team player on that team.
Tell me in the post where I said that they didn't work hard David ... I never said that.
And please be slightly respectful if it is at all possible when you are discussing this with my .... my Mayoral candidate won ... not z"my boy". My council candidates lost ... they are not "my girls" ... maybe Janet get that door slammed in her face because she is like you and show a lack of respect ... you give respect David and you will get respect in return.
I am hoping that this will be good for the city ... I am not an obstructionist ... I want the city that I love to progress ... so hopefully they will be able to work together to move the city of Scranton in the right direction.

I gave you the number as it was posted at WNEP at the time I wrote the post. Let's revisit once the election is certified...and besides, by rights I could also claim that if you add in Republican write-in voted for Doherty he would have more total votes. Your overall theme of Janet being so much more beloved than anyone else by the voters of Scranton doens't seem to be born out in the facts. Wrong again? I think not.
As for Janet's back I'm glad she's feeling better...even if I think she's a political opportunist (which she is) that doesn't mean that I would want her or anyone else to be in constant pain.

I totally agree with Agam. I wish no harm or evil on her or anyone else. I don't like her condesending, hypocritical, do as I say not as I do attitude. I am, however very very curious as to how she got injured. Primary caregiver VS english teacher hummmmmm I wonder. She didn't talk herself into a stupor and fall out of her chair at work did she???

Dear Ozzie,
Please be aware that Scranton City Council will conduct a special meeting on Monday, June 22 at 11:00 AM in Council Chambers to which all applicants for KOZ and KOEZ extensions have been invited to attend. Each applicant will be given the opportunity to address council and explain the necessity for an extension. This meeting is open to the public, and interested taxpayers of Scranton, who most certainly will be affected by the extension of tax free status to these many developers, businesses, and homeowners, should attend. Finally, the regularly scheduled meeting of Scranton City Council will be held on Tuesday, June 23 at 10:00 AM at which time a final vote should occur. In consideration of the very recent history of this legislation during council meetings, however, perhaps a final vote may be anticipated at either meeting.
Thank you,
Janet Evans

:::Nah, there's no connection between the Pilcheskys and Janet Evans...right David????:::
So QUeen JaNuT takes time to send an email to the el Presidente of the UnBiased TaxPayers Association, yet she can't allow the common folk of Scranton an opportunity to email her for information.
BTW, don't bank on DAvey BOy offering a reply, the misses took away his PD privileges, remember. In the Wind - QUeen JaNuT hid the EVans family leather bound posters/passwords/decoder ring magic mirror.

Aj munchack is an over weight slob he needs the cash foor food every month,or maybe its a secret party for Cordaros lawyer fees.either way he looks older than 63 I guess the weight does that,I cant see why other politicians are falling all over him.after his term is up he pretty much is finished in this town unless his puppet master stays out of jail,
It's been over a year since Paul posted ... welcome back Paul

On a political note, I hear there were many of the old faces there, and some new faces, less than 100 total, which is hardly impressive, but when you use a has-been basketball star of the 70s as a drawing card you shouldn't expect anything more. The posters in that regard made it look like the Evans Camp was desperate, and then Daryl Dawkins was a no show to boot. And, the posters scattered about invited all to a birthday party for Janet Evans without mentioning there's a $20 cover. Head shaker for me. Clearly, Evans needs PR desperately. For as sparkling as she is in her own right, she's not complimented with behind the scenes power thinking.
I like what Janet Evans stands for, but politically armed and dangerous she is not. Her team is comprised of Children of Apathy whose march to victory over two high end crony blowjobs was no accomplishment of the strategy kind. The majority is not a lock, not by any stretch of the imagination. Those who believe that it is should sign up for Doherty for Governor right now. The primary was not contentious for them in many regards, most notably, the mayor and his money were distracted. That's not going to be the case for November. To date, neither Rogan or Joyce can make a claim that they've done anything for the people, although under Evans the promise is appealing.
The Lynetts have never spent a minute of their day practicing Rolling Over and Playing Dead. They're going after Evans. How will the Evans Team respond? How are they preparing to respond, over and beyond tying Dave Evans to a basement beam and duct taping his mouth shut until November of 2012.
The absence of Courtright is ominous, is it not? It was a fun party, as most are, but it was also a "Same Faces" party. The wrath of the Times cometh. In that regard, the best defense is a good offense, but we don't know what offensive punch the Evans camp has. The primary was a yawning exercise of slow playing the excessive vulnerability of Gatelli and Fanucci, at least on a public forum. It worked well, but Gatelli and Fanucci could have been beaten by Heckle and Jeckle and equally embarrassed by Moe and Larry wearing out the same shoe leather.
Everybody out of the sandbox now. Playtime is over.
What's up with this? Is the love affair over? That forum over there is like a Janet Evans fan club...now it seems to me like the leader of the pack over there is getting ready to throw "Ms. Jan" under the bus to. Maybe it's just a classic case of be careful what you wish for you might just get...they all screamed for their "super majority" now it seems they are going to get it and it still ain't good enough! What I really don't get is for someone who seems to have all the answers on how to run a campaign and further how to run a city, why doesn't "Mr. P." just run for Council or Mayor himself since no one else will ever be good enough? I'm so sick of hearing the whining about the same old, same old, from these loons and then when a fresh Canidate does throw his or hat in the ring and offers them thechange they constantly scream for they throw them under the bus to! WOW!!! Straight jackets anyone???...Jimbu15.
Just want to get some thoughts here, I think I've come up with the "Dream Ticket" that could save the city of Scranton...Council, Ray Lyman{President}, Fay Franus, Sam Patilla, Les Spindler, and Daniel Hubbard{he could wave his gun around in case any speakers get out of line.}, and of course your esteemed Mayor would be none other than "Mr. P." himself{maybe then all the lawsuits would stop?!} Those canidates should be able to stop the hysteria...no?!
I apologize if this post offends anyone...just some random thoughts...don't worry though the Doctors are currently adjusting my meds!...Jimbu15.
As for "Saint Jan", as Joe has told us she is too good for Scranton. I'm thinking she will be the first female Pope.
Holy Crap Agam that won't work... the Pope has to be able to drink wine and Fay has already declared saint Jan is as dry as a 85 year old lady's you know what so................
Jimbu I don't think that anyone finds your post offensive ... well I know I didn't ... I have got to get back in the swing of things here and start making trips across the hall again. It seems as though I have been missing quite a bit. Summer is just about over ... so is my little break.
It's good to see that two valued posters have made a return ... Paul and Jimbu welcome back. And Jimbu don't let them adjust those meds I think you are fine just the way you are.
It's been so nice not even thinking about the kids across the hall ... oh well like I said summer break is just about over.

I highlighted the are of this particular post that I am speaking about. Now Joe Pilchesky claims that people were invited to this birthday party for Janet Evans and that there was no mention of a $20 donation at the door to get into the party ... but we all know that's a lie ... they knew that it was going to cost them ... and how do I know this ... well the part was on the 14th and Joe first posted about this on the 4th of Aug ... in his post you will see that he clearly knew and posted that there was a charge for this event. He posted it on his website ... and he claims that all of Scranton reads his site ... so I am just wondering how the hell could people not know ... and there was also an ad in the Scranton Times for this party and guess what ... that's right ... the price of admission was in the ad ... I know this because I still purchase the Scranton Times ... so to say that they did not know is a lie!
Here is the first post Joe wrote concerning this party:
"Friends of the New Majority" throwing Evans' Birthday Bash/Fundraiser on Aug 14th

Be there and get in touch with some history in the making, and at the same time invest in your own future. Beating the machine that has a strangle hold on your wallets takes money to release the grip. The Evans team can't do it on their looks. They're game for the fight and the fight takes money as well as guts and determination.
You want change??
You want accountability??
You want justice??
Then put your money where your mouth is. Be at the fundraiser on August 14th at 12 E. Parker St., the Parker House, for a good time starting at 6:00 and ending at 9:00 in the pm. A mere $20 donation gets you in the door and a part of the excitement.
You're never going to get any closer than this to being a part of the upset of the century. Show your face, show your support and show your cash. Fill the place inside and out.
Stand up and be counted or be counted in for another tax increase if this majority doesn't make it. It's that simple.

Now what I question about this party is this ... Did Janet not pay enough attention to old Baldy at the party and is that why he now seems to be against her? I think that's what happened ... she did not make him the center of attention so he is now going to slam on her for charging $20 and make it seem as though she didn't tell anyone when he clearly knew and posted it 10 days before the event ever took place!

In response to Mayor Doherty stating that he was "pro choice" the other day (in a newspaper article), I'm thinking that the odds are about 50/50 that Janet Evans will suggest legislation proclaiming that Scranton is a "right to life" city. That sounds right up her alley.

Agam I don't think she will on this one....... too many people split on this one.....she will need to pull a DD switch-around on this one...she will need to fool the pro-choice people into thinking she is on their side while also being pro-life at the same time......Kind of like knowing but not knowing Joeyboy at at the same time...... :)
She did the same thing with the North Scranton/Central school issues She campaigned all over the place that she supported the issues. After receiving the support and endorsement of the group trying to reopen the schools, and using their support system, she voted against both of the resolutions to pursue rehabing the buildings. She is a such a dirtball Hey..... is she still still on workman's comp? She didn't lose an arm or anything walking by the Latin class did a she? If English class is that dangerous imagine what Latin class must be like.... the kids will need hardhats.
She'll play both ends against the middle--as usual. And then do whatever seems to be politically expedient at the time. And, when it ceases to be useful, she'll deny the "misconception" of her position. V E R R R Y S L O W L Y--just in case she needs to change again.
Maybe that's how she hurt her back, twisting & turning to suit the political needs of the moment.
(Actually, I think it's all her personal baggage she schleps around.)
You are not doubt right Penelope...this is why Ms Evans is so popular among the DD crowd: they are easily (mis)lead.
Hell, this same crew continues to follow a guy...Pilchesky...who called them a bunch of "bottom feeders" in front of a Scranton Times reporter. By that measure, goose-stepping to Janet Evans is a walk in the park. Besides, she tells them what they want to hear...she can reduce taxes while increasing labor costs for the city, all by simply eliminating "cronyism".
