Sweet Jesus -- I was flipping through the stations last night and came upon an interview with Barbie Benton (Hef's main squeeze from quite a few years ago). She's looking fairly good compared to the three bimbii he's sporting on his arm these days -- but anyway, I digress ...

I don't usually watch "The Girls Next Door", but something about her face caught my attention. She must be over fifty by now and looking every minute of it. I couldn't put my finger on who the hell she reminded me of and then it hit me -- she is a brunette ringer for janet evans herself.

I googled and googled for a current picture of her that isn't professionally airbrushed or touched up, but slap a little Miss Clairol Blonde #8 on her and there she is ! (at least I see it -- )

How many meetings has the Savior of the Little Guy now missed since the begining of the year, is it 3, 4, or 5 maybe?

Do I care that the she misses meetings, NO. Obviously things happens, illness/surgery/conflicts where people miss work and or meetings. Easily understanable.

That being said I think it would only be fair for the Doomers to write the letters to the editor and speak at council about her missing meetings. It would be very easy since all they would have to do is remove Judy and insert Janet. No need to write new letters or speeches, just change the name. Where is the outrage about taking money for missing meetins?

It does not piss me off ... what it does do is peak my interest as to why Janet is not held to the same standards as the rest of the council members in particular Judy Gatelli. If Janet has to miss because of a mandatory program attendance at SHS that's ok ... if Judy has the same thing going on in her life at WSHS well they say she should have thought of those things before she made the decision to run for council ... Not Fair! If Judy is sick ... she should drag he ass in no matter what ... but if Janet is sick ...well then it is poor Janet she has a boo boo belly ... again not fair.

Janet should be held to the same high standards as they hold Judy to ... if she missed that many meetings then why are they not outraged? They should be.

Now I could care less myself ... I actually hope that Janet feels better ... but I do have to wonder about one thing. I do remember working all day ... then going home and taking care of my mother who was in poor health ... I did not get the proper rest and was sick quite often ... due to the stress and lack of sleep ... now my question is this ... Will Janet be able to do what she needs to do for her mother and her family, work all day ... and then be able to funcition in the capacity of a Council woman ... my opinion on this is No she won't be able to do that effectively ...

I do hope that Janet feels better soon .... and I am hoping that she is not seriously ill as she and you seem to be very ill quite often these days. I am sincerely concerned about your health and hopefully you are both under a Dr.'s care.

Not in the least.  As I've said before, Janet is the poster-child for the typical Scranton politician.  In fact, she even misses about as many Konsil meetings as every other Scranton politician on Konsil does.

As for her hardly being able to walk, I hope she gets better soon.  After all, the unions need someone to worship on Konsil...for them, her not being there is like going to church and the priest/minister not being present.

The reason council is never badgered from the podium about janet not being at meetings is a) who cares, right?, b) we give council the benefit of the doubt that they are utilizing their time wisely, and if they're not there it's for a darned good reason, whether it be illness or a new baby, and c) really, who cares if janet's not there, right?

Maybe she kept the Miss Clairol #8 in her head too long and now she's BALD.
Maybe she had a chemical peel and a tummy tuck.
Maybe she had permanent shoulder pads inserted.
Maybe dave has her chained in the basement.
Maybe dave can't find her.
Maybe joe has her chained in the basement.
Maybe she took edith shopping for soap on a rope and flipflips.
Maybe she gave edith a ride out to Erie.
Maybe she's upset and holed up at fay's because nobody thanked her.
but really -- who cares, right?

Since I use Firefox (and so should you ... www.mozilla.com it's a much more secure browser than others) it's never impacted me, other than when I am on the road and I have to use Internet Explorer.

No mention from the DD crew about Janet missing so many meetings, if it were Judy look out! I believe this is number 5 of the last 7 meetings she missed! She should have to give her pay back
