I'm actually appalled.

Janet Evans took money from Ken McDowell, Bob Mellow, and Fanucci's husband.


My question is this: What's to be appalled about? We've been saying for a long time that Janet Evans is no different than any other self-serving politician in this area. In all honestly she is worse than most because she is so ungodly hypocritical...

...is against nepotism (unless it involves her son)
...is against "political back-room deals" (unless it involves her getting a full-time teaching position)
...is for working families (as she drives around in her Benz C-class*)
...is for free speech (just don't think you can exercise that right via e-mail with her, as she has the "Davey-Boy Evans Spam and Constituent" filter installed on her account)

...and I could go on, but the point is made.

As a side note, I think it's rather funny that she pays the admission fee for a political campaign party (for Bill Courtright) from her campaign and not from personal funds. In other words she is willing to spend other people's money on that kind of stuff, not her own.


(*) Extra hypocrisy points here, as for years uber-elitest & ICN boss (both per the goon squad) Chris Doherty drove a plain, non-descript Ford sedan (not sure what he has now).

Anything past 3 - 2 and it doesn't matter who's on council. They can appoint Ray Lyman for all that matters. He'd be as useless as Janet Evans is at this point in time. That's not a slap at Janet personally, but she's been unable to be who she is in these circumstances. Irrelevant because she has no intention of reaching out to the other democratically elected councilpersons she serves with? As for the thankless people of this city, I think you mean thankless people who post on DD. The people of this city are pretty happy with the way the city's moving forward. Janet, or no Janet.

Well put 5150. Janet too good for Scranton? Pardon me while I go laugh myself into a coma.

Another Janet point made by, I think, Glenn Cashuric, was that Janet Evans and Gary DiBileo would be in a circular firing squad come primary election time in 2009. Personally I can't wait, if for no other reason than it will tear DD apart...although the serial-plaintiff may demand loyalty to Janet from the troops.

She must have been searching for code violations. As for her puss, what's great is how fast it turns to that fake smile as soon as she sees someone noticing.

Classic example: my youngest brother (who does not drive) wanted to go to a funeral parlor for a viewing...some fireman or something like that. Anyway, so I take him up and I'm waiting for him outside in the car. Who comes out of the parlor, but the Queen herself, all chatty and hugging, etc. As soon as her back was turned away from the people at the parlor, the puss immediately changes to one that screamed "$hit, I five more of these f%$#ing places left to go to". After 77 replies and 39,500 views of the Lyman got a bite at the lure at council post at JOey LAnD,NotADumBlonde finally replies. Many posters were questioning QUeen JaNuts ability to govern, her mind set for staying married to DAviD, and who really controls her. NotADumbBlonde's post - minutes of the October 23rd council meeting of the exchange of Ray Lyman and Judy Gatelli. What a DOlt!!! Provide the people with a proper response. It also appears that JOey is doing a pretty good job at defending the QUeen bEE. I wonder if his little poem was code to the school teacher/basketball coach/spawn. Heard JOey's a lot more gentle (smaller) and not at all like DAddy JOse Menendaz - right Chris, er I mean Eric?
