The rating thing is broken. It says this thread is rated a 4.6 after 5 votes. Unpossible!

That means either one person rated it a three, or two people rated it a four, which, as I said, is impossible. Clearly this thread is a runaway 5 star thread. The 3-vote or two 4-votes is a sure sign of voter fraud.

It's a cryin' shame! That's why I want a federal investigation done by the federal attorney general, for an investigation done. I want heads to roll.

It hit a five star rating, bay-bee, when it was said the Steeler's suck more than Miss Clairol.
(I just realized I spelled it PittsGurgh)

And I had to drive all over the city today to find soft vanilla ice cream and hot fudge - friggin' Padula's had a lot of nerve being closed in 40 degree weather.

Today, I can say that they suck too (but not as much as our own Miss Clairol).

I am glad that Janet Evans is behind having the Medical School built in Scranton, although she probably had to practice that part about getting behind the Mayor a multitude of times before she could do it without throwing up. Never the less, one 'non-sucky' moment does not make up for a multiplicity of sucky moments.

I read the minutes somewhere that Gatelli said that those votes are simple courtesy votes, more or less acknowledging the appointment. The yea or nay votes are really quite meaningless in those cases. The appointment is going through regardless. Everyone votes yes just because...

Sam is just plain ignorant. Lacking anything of any substance to rant about, he picked that issue, once again not knowing any of the facts.

Politics are just that Politics ... and have nothing what to do with a parent child relationship ... Ms Evans should know that better than most ... oh well ... I hope your apples fell far from the tree!

Remember some people are not fortunate enough to experience what it's like to have their father in their lives ... be it due to death or just the fact that their own father didn't know how to be a father ... it does not mean that you are going to be the same ... no matter what Mrs. Evans says ... you will want better for your own children ... no matter if you had a good relationship with your father or if you had a loser for a father ...

Remember we can pick our noses ... we can pick our seats ... but what we can't do is pick our relatives ...

If this really is Janet Evans posting, then she seriously needs the help of a good Therapist, as clearly she has some kind of split personality disorder. I hate to say it, but for all the bashing that we give Pilchesky here, at least he is consistent, being a prick 24/7/365. Want to know a big difference between the people who post on this site vs. DD? People here understand politians for who they are...neither saviors nor devils. The fact that the DD crew actually believes the 'for the people' nonsense from Janet Evans just points to how very gullible they really are; it's no wonder they follow serial-plantiff Joe Pilchesky like a bunch of hungry kittens.

Personally I do think that Janet Evans is for 'the people'...as long as you define 'the people' as being Janet & David Evans. Evidence? How about using an elected School Director position to get a full-time teaching position? Now does that make her Satan incarnate? No, it doesn't. She is a politician, plain and simple. She is in the business of politics out of some combination desire to serve the public good AND garner personal power. For Janet Evans, I think that's about 15% service, 85% desire for power....and I'm being generous.
