I just want to thank all of you for starting this board, some of the things I read on the other board are donright scary and full of half truths. I happen to know someone whom they bash over there repeatedly and their family was very distraught. Then I come over here and read and it makes all of them involved feel much better. I also want to welcome myself aboard, this is my first post and I hope I did follow the rules and did everything right. thanks again for giving Scranton another voice

Thank you for your post and so far you are keeping with our rules ... we ask that you be respectful ... don't use oversized fonts ... and please for those of us who have trouble seeing please choose a font color that is easily seen ... and we like the smilies (I really like them) but some of our members find them distracting so we ask the posters keep to a limit of one or two smilies at the most ... I myslelf have a smilie addiction and I try not to use them at all ... but every now and again ... I find myslef using them.
I know what you mean about reading things that are untrue or half truths about people that are friends and family ... I do not think that they realize ... or maybe they do realize and they just don't care .... about the hurt they cause to innocent people ... what they do is not right. And if your friends feel better because of what we do here than it is all worth it. Free Speech does not mean you have the right to destroy peoples lives with lies.
We try not to hate here for the sake of hating ... we tried to give our opinion over there but they didn't want to give us a voice ... most of us ... have been banned from over there ... and that's how this place was born .... you don't have to agree with us .... just disagree in a civilized manner that's all we ask ... we do edit and delet posts that go against our rules of conduct ... I can't be here all of the time so there are a few trusted posters who know why we created this place and they understand it sometimes better than I do myself ... so they own a bit of it and they also watch over it ... they have the power to edit or remove my posts if I get out of line ... so even I have to watch myself.
As you will notice ... I have a tendency to ramble ... and I will apologize for that now ... it happens often.
Welcome to PD ... Happy Posting ... and if it is at all possible please spread the word ... we welcome all posters here ... I used to say nobody will ever be banned but that almost happened so I won't say that anymore ... but banning will be a community decision and not a decision that will be made lightly.

I know this kind of thing could never fly at DD.com, but - even though I'ma a married man with children - I find myself oddly attracted to you. Our rules aren't so bad either.
