I don't like how Dick Cheyne performs as Vice President. In fact, I think he is the WORST Vice-President that this country has ever had. Hell, SPIRO FREAK'n AGNEW was a better VP in my book. That said, there are things that I admire about the man...for example, how he is fiercely protective of his family. Hate Dick Cheyne? I don't KNOW Dick Cheyne, so HOW could I ever HATE the man?
I mention Dick Cheyne as an example because within the ranks of the LoD/DD Goon Squad, you see this 'HATE' for Chris Doherty expressed all the time. HOW, PLEASE TELL ME HOW it is possible for this crew to HATE the man Chris Doherty when I'll bet NONE OF THEM actually know him? In fact, I'll bet 90% of them have never so much as even spoken a word to the man, ever. I can understand...
...disagreeing this some of this hirings (I actually disagree with some of them) ...disagreeing with his fiscal policy (I have a lot of questions) ...disagreeing with his priorities relative to re-development (I think he is doing fine there)
but for God's sake, how is it possible to HATE someone YOU DON'T KNOW?? I gotta tell you all that this simply drives me nuts. All I can say is that it must take a BLACK, IMMATURE HEART to harbor these kinds of feelings.
Now someone could come along as say "well don't you hate Janet Evans", to which I would respond ABSOLUTELY NOT. Will I parody her? YES. Will I be very critical of her actions on council? YES. Will I mention that she got a teaching job in the Scranton School District while serving as a School Board Director? YES...I JUST DID because it is a fact. Will I post any of the rumors I hear about her? NO. Will I make fun of how she looks? NO. If she were mayor (I know, insert groan here => ____________) and a child died in a city fire, would I claim that she had "...blood on her hands..." because there was snow on a street? NO. Would I ever mention her children in any posting (other than to congratulate her on becoming a grandmother)? NO.
Similar to Dick Cheyne, I don't like how Janet Evans conducts herself as an elected official. She panders to the lowest common denominator of behaviors, including providing tacit support to Joe Pilchesky. That said, I DON'T KNOW JANET EVANS THE PERSON, so HATE would NEVER come into the equasion for me.
