Your opinion is one thing but to write on this site that you have followed these men around ... I am sorry that is not acceptable ... I will not condone that behavior ... if you want to post your opinion in a civilized manner ... go for it ... I applaud you for that ... I really do ... but I did not like the feel of your post ... I didn't like that you stated that you have been following these men for 2 weeks ... I am sorry ... I will not have this place become like DD ... and if you think that I am worse than that is your opinion ... if you all think that than that's ok ... but the day that I feel that I am turning into one of them is the day that I should die ... because I would be too ashamed to live.

Your post conveyed a message to me ... and it was this ... you have a personal problem with Sammy Vitris ... and this is not the place to air your personal problems. 

When you began posting here you were asked to read the rules of conduct ... they not only appear as a topic on this category ... they are a category of their own ... in those rules it stated that the administrator may take down a post ... but you will never be banned ... that is what has happened.  I suppose that I have a great responsibility as to what is put up on this site ... I have registered and it is ultimately me who will ... I suppose get into trouble for anything that is objectionable ... I do not want to take that risk.  If you don't like that then I am sorry ...

Maybe I’m making a mistake by jumping into this, but what the hell.

Tripp, I’ve had a posting or two taken down, so I’ve been in your shoes, but it’s important to remember that someone (the site administrator) has to make the final determination regarding civility here. That doesn’t mean we all agree on that definition, but it does mean that we respect the right of the administrator to make that determination. This isn’t a “nice to have”; it’s a “must have”. Why? The answer is simple really: we all get caught up in the moment, Lus included. However, if we didn’t have lowest level of acceptable conduct, this place would become the Internet equivalent of a Limbo game…namely, “how low can you go?”.

Is the above just another example of censorship? Perhaps yes, but in life THERE IS ALWAYS some measure of censorship in just about everything we do…from how we dress to what we say. It’s called the price of living in a civilized society (or posting on a civilized message board).

Should Lus have IM’ed you about the deleted post? I don’t know, but I will tell you this…I had a posting removed and I didn’t get a note about it. I just accepted the fact the fact that in the Administrator’s opinion I crossed a line. Life is far too short to get pissed-off over what “should have been done”; quite frankly there is enough current stuff to be pissed about in the world today without having to look back to recent history.

So I hope that all of this can become water under the bridge. I enjoy reading your posts (Tripp), and I hope that you continue to post here.

Thank you both Ag and Art for backing me up on this ... I cannot go into detail on why this post bothers me ... because it would just take so very long ... the short of it is that the stalking ... and that is what I consider it to be ... I do not like the fact that these men have been followed for 2 weeks ... having thier every move watched ... that is something we have never done here ... and that is the difference between us and the DD crew ... I just could not handle it if this place turned into that place ... call me a silly woman ... but that's how I feel!

For now this place stays ... because one bad post does not DD make ... I am sorry if I overreacted ... and to Tripp Park I am sorry that I did not inform you ... in the future I will try and remember to let someone know when a post is taken down and the reason it has been removed ... every day is a learning day here at PD.
