I don't think anyone here anyone here has an issue with you (or anyone else) pointing out the times out when the DPW fails to serve the city well...the issue had more to do with stalking employees.
That said, I'd agree that it's pretty bad when so many people call off because they felt compelled to watch a bunch of upper-middle class/millionaire men playing on a field the night before (I speak of the Super Bowel) and had one too many sausage/pepper/beer combos. However, I highly doubt that DPW is alone with this problem. As for me, I (obviously) don't like pro football...give me college games anytime...so I was at work yesterday, doing my thang.

You know ..... that stalker post rings a familiar little bell. First of all, didn't we have an anonymous poster here a few weeks back who said he saw someone sitting near his house leaving trash in front of his house while this stalker person watched his neighbor? Second, the verbage reads astonishingly like something one of the Across The Hall Players would post. Not only the verbage, but the attitude and the style (or lack thereof).
I know a few people who have seasonal jobs, too. You know what they do instead of stalking to take up some time? They get a second seasonal job instead of collecting unemployment for six months. I'll bet tpp is one of the first people to stay home because it's raining - can't work in the rain you know.
I don't know how long they will work today in this bitter cold weather, but they were at my house bright and early - as per usual. (And again, I do not envy them their jobs, especially in THIS weather.) And you know what?? As I drove down my street, I noticed that the garbage cans were all upright, and were put back where my neighbors usually leave them - ours were in the driveway just where we left them. Maybe our little anonymous friend got through to his friend Sam. Word of your board Lus must be getting around.
