Umm....err....A$$hole?? Joeyboy?? Jerkoff?? When you create new alias you need to remember which avatars you have already used....this would be one of them you idiot!
It's a big deal that the unions are behind any candidate, but I don't think they get involved in campaign strategy or the like. That's left up to the people spending the money and getting paid to run the PR. I'm sure the unions might weigh in on what issues are important and maybe give a candidate some information, but to tell a candidate what to do is a stretch. I doubt it.

There's nothing to smear. It's a done deal. They have it in for him because he hasn't apologetically approached them and fully cleared the air from 2007 when he slammed them around. They're as pissed at him today as they ever were. And, I get that RIGHT FROM THEM. Only guy who can fix it is the guy who broke it, know what I mean? Mr. Rogan should invite the Hispanic community to an open forum where there can be a give-and-take.
It's going to take more than words and/or breaking a little bread. He needs an intervenor/mediator of the tall, blond and influential kind.
If we're only talking 2,000 votes that's a huge voting block. If the Evans, Rogan and Joyce slate doesn't pick it up, who does? That's a deal breaker. I personally think they like Janet Evans a lot, but if those people are insulted they can dig their heels in and only vote for her and Joyce and leave Rogan out in the cold.
He should get that base covered. And soon. This is not a time to play games with that many votes.
I look at it this way: the moment you objectify one group...call them "those people"...you pretty much seal your own fate. It's not just a phrase, it's a way of looking at the world.
The Hispanic community in Scranton may have a higher or a lower percentage of voters than the population in general, but that isn't nearly as important as the fact that you have someone like Pilchesky who still views the world through a lens of "my people" vs. "those people". You know that it's just just the Hispanic community that comprises "those people"...it's any group that doesn't meet his seal of approval. What Pilchesky doesn't realize is that there are always more of "those people" than "your people".

We're hispanic and proud of it. We live on the 300 of N. Hyde Park. This is a area with a heavy population of hispanics and none of us have had Mr. Rogan knock on our doors. We'd like it if he did so maybe he will be able to do that sometime soon. We hear crazy stories that he's against us but we don't think so. Its ok to say that bad people should be arrested. We have good and bad here and I wish some of them were arrested.

This reminds me of when Pilchesky rolled out the "Twisted Brother" persona, complete with Joe's version of ebonics (actually, it read like an Amos-n-Andy script). It would have been mildly humorous had it not been for the fact that the subject of the post was a suicide.

Of course Joe would post that ... has to undo the damage that may have been caused to Mr. Rogan ...

If that's all she's got, and it is, she's as screwed today as she will be on election day. She's headed for the lower vote count ever for a council candidate. And Judy won't be much higher, bet on it.
I took the opportunity to drive through several neighborhoods today to see for myself just how expansive the hispanic/latino community is. I was given some direction by those more familiar than myself with that population.
Without the demographics necessary to be mentioned, I can tell you that if the hispanic/latino population is registered to vote, and intends to do so, the candidate not courting that block of votes deserves to lose. I stopped a dozen times and walked among a few group recreating. I asked them about the mayor's race. Hands down, they do not like Doherty. Then, I mentioned the council race, and they were mum until I started mentioning names.
Most knew who Janet Evans is and said they liked her, but they were not as familiar with any of the other council candidate's names. One lady said that "Fanucci was the nutty one", but no other comments came on any other names.
Bottom line; they don't know. Half of the people I spoke with said they are registered to vote, but were unsure if they would be voting. "What for?", is what they said.
The hispanic and latino community need to start thinking politically. If their numbers are strong how long will it be before they have a candidate of their own running for school director or council, or who knows what other public office. Now's a good time to get behind what the people need. Support the right side here and now. That'll get out and when the time comes support will come their way.
Politically speaking, they'll never grow with the likes of Doherty, Gatelli and Fancucci in office. Look at the hispanic hires in the city now. None. School district? None that I know of. Now is the time to get on the map if they have a huge voting block.
Interesting side note here: For a while I've been noticing that DD's posting count is dropping. Well I did a little check this morning:
As of 6:38am, there were 4 DD postings made on or after 12:01am on April 5th.
For the record, there were 8 postings here.
Oh, and we are in the middle of an election, so you would expect that the posting count would be relatively high.
Now I'm not implying any kind of competition here, as it should be noted that we have far fewer posters than DD does (even counting his multiple personalities).
Quick, Joe needs to fire up some of those "alternative" IDs he uses and start some conversations with himself.

Well Ag if that truly is the case than we should be seeing Joey make a threat to himself any moment now ... that's how he gets things hoping across the hall ... and then all of his little cult like worshipers come to his defense.

Go fvck yourself Joe. That was uncalled for. I'm telling you that Sherry's problem is Gatelli. Gatelli is always riding her and pushing her around like a mother hen. Get Sherry away from Gatelli - different woman. You were at Sherry's estate sale. You tell me, wasn't she very social and down to earth? Didn't she even give you a bunch of books for nothing? I heard you two hit if off pretty good. Admit it.
She's different without Gatelli around. Everyone will tell you that. Keep Sherry - dump Gatelli!!
Consider your self bumped ... good job Puzzler! We are quite proud of you!

That 'Vote4Sherry' thing is actually some really stick stuff. You know it will be implied or even directly stated that the poster is actually Ms Fanucci herself. In fact, it already has...
Igotoutyoucantoo Posts: 56 Date: Apr 5 9:27 PM, 2009 Is that you Sherry?
This is where the "uber-creepiness" of DD comes into play. Look, if you want to call her out as being incompetent (as Glenn has done on many an occasion), then do it, have at it, etc. She is controversial enough, and talks enough during council meetings to provide anyone and everyone with plenty of ammunition. However, I really don't get this kind of campaign against her.
Am I the only one who thinks that Joe has this really creepy fascination with her? I'm wondering if he doesn't have picture of her laying around, you know, by his Wheaties.

Sherri's the only available gal in joe's life -- janet's got dave, edith's not going to be around much longer, judy's married - no wonder joe's got a hot nut for our Sherri.
C'mon people - Sherri might not be the sharpest tack in the box, but she's sharp enough to stay the hell away from that guy!
Mr. Pilchesky, there are many of us very willing to help with copy and binding. I've told you that many times over. I feel badly now that you're pushing to the last minute to get briefs out the door.
Asking for help is a healthy sign. Lots of people do it. I do it. You should be doing it. Why aren't you letting other help you to win the Complex case. It's equally as important to many of us out here - but wondering how to help a guy who won't take any. Honest injun, I'm no spy.
We get hundreds upon hundreds of offers to help in many, many ways. No offense to anyone, but there is no way I could possibly allow even one page of a brief to be in the hands of anyone else. A brief like this one, for example, could have its entire meaning changed with switching one or two adjectives here and there, or simply eliminating them. Changing plural to singular could change the argument dramatically. Thank you, but no thank you. I got this far on my own, I'll finish it that way.
Keep in mind that when the Complex issue first became public, a fat crony by the name of Atty. Paul Walker, through another fat crony, Todd O'Malley, offered to work for Fran Vutnoski and Chris Phillips for free as their lawyer in a challenge to the sale. WALKER SOLD THEM OUT. It was ugly, but a well-crafted ugly. They were broadsided by a legal freight train and there was nothing they could do about it.
That's where I got involved, at the site of the trainwreck. There was enough pieces left to reconstruct the train and get it back on track. It's been on track since. And, it's heading right for Mulberry St.
Thank you, again, but no thank you.

This guy is really a village idiot. Here his wife is about to do some hard time (That's right, hard time. the judge knew what he was doing when he gave her at least 25 months because anything over 24 months, even if its 1 day over 24 months, must be done in state prison) and this is what he posts about himself:
Post Info TOPIC: To all of the politicians I've ruined and bashed over the last four years, say thanks to Chris Doherty for me Administrator

CHRIS DOHERTY.
He created me 4 years ago by screwing over an elderly, handicapped, highly decorated war veteran by refusing him a handicap ramp.
Say thank you to him for me tomorrow, will ya?
Keep in mind he's the reason I'll keep kicking your asses every chance I get, long after he's moved on to green pastures while you still suffer.
Did I ask you to say thank you to Chris Doherty tomorrow?
Thats just more people he has to look over his shoulder for. Hey Joey, what comes around, goes around. BTW, wheres your wife going soon? Maybe Anti can help you out with your sexual needs. If it still works, you look like death.
