Come January, Evans begins her journey through the Doherty years document by document.  Legislation after legislation will be reviewed and reversed.  I'd suspect that by the end of her first term as council president, she'll have unmasked a dozen shams and scams.

You can't get the perfect storm without control. Doherty's perfect storm days are effectively over.

I couldn't agree more.  Where was Gary for four years?  I'm happy that Rogan and Joyce made it, but when you think of it, where were they for the last four years. There's a pattern here. These people don't stick their chins out like Joe does, but there they are ready to benefit from other peole sticking thier chins out, as Joe has been doing for four years now.

I can't help but to wonder if Rogan and Joyce called Joe and said, "Thanks for setting Gatelli and Fanucci up for the fall." Not that Joe was the only one, but in my mind it was 70/30. 70% Joe and 30% speakers that did Gatelli and Fanucci in. This site got to them, especially Gatelli. A lot of the information council speakers used against them came right from here. Factoid!

I don't think Canoe is new to Scranton. I think that's the mindset here. It's another world, politically speaking. Everyone is always shifting to fit their personal best interests and that's what has oppressed this city from day one. Evans is the leader here, she's stayed the course, proven her intentions as far as the interests of the taxpayers, and she should remain the leader. As for the other anti Doherty faction, I say drop them like a hot potato. We should support her supermajority in full force and let the other chips fall where they may.

Pilchesky is as predictable as they come...case in point the "rally the troops" posting noted below.  For the record, how does being involved in a estate-bilking trial translate into trying to do something "...to all of us"?

He just should have just dusted off a "wheels coming off" postings from last year (or the year before that...).

Every municipal union has to suck up to the administration. That's a part of the relationship, isn't it? The unions are at the disposal of the administration and most of the time the administration is abusing the unions in some way. The unions then have to fight back. Hey, cops, firemen and clerical workers would just as soon like a calm and peaceful life, like everyone else. Who needs the stress?

This is a great place for anyone to vent, unionized or not. The unions should take advantage of it to let everyone know what is really going on, but there are also things going on that the unions conceal from the public.

Nice to see this place is still going strong...I've been out of the loop for awhile...I apologize in advance if this question has already been answered or seems kinda stupid, but has this self imposed "Savior" of Scranton actually "sacked up" yet and spoke at a Council Meeting or anywhere else worthwhile for that matter as he had continually promised to do or has it been just more of the same empty tough guy rhetoric? There are more than enough stupid people in this city to screw this election up without throwing Gary into the mix.  Throwing him into it guarantees it gets screwed up.  Shame on Gary for creating the problem and being so easy to suck into the situation.  Apparently, the only way to survive the stupid people of Scranton is to move out of it.  Every last one of them deserves to have Joe Pilchesky struck and killed by lightning.

Things are never going to be the same in Lackawanna County, maybe even in the state if Mr. Pilchesky expands his operation.  I never thought the Internet could be such a powerful tool in fighting corruption. And I never thought one guy could do so much damage in the legal system.

We're living out a little piece of history whether we know it or not. I'm worried about the final chapter.

When Hell freezes over, and not even then.

WILK would never get the green light to feature Pilchesky and highlight any of his activist work. 

He sued Gatelli over the $30,000.00 she got in public funds. Not one word.

He sued Mellow over the $240,000.00 he and his wife got in public funds for rental fees. Not one word.

He's got McDowell in Commonwealth Court on eligibility. Not one word.

Ahhhh, Pilchesky's annual 'beg-est' to WILK to give him some media time.  Somehow I think they actually know the score with Joe.  Besides, between the "Mansions & Estates" guy and the "Money In Motion" guy (both are either in jail or eventually will be in jail), I think WILK has had their share of thieves, crooks and liars on their radio waves.

On another note, if they were to even consider allowing Pilchesky on for an interview, I'm sure we could pick out a few of Joe's "Greatest Hits" to send to Nancy Kman....you know, just to let her know just what this "Community Activist" is really all about.
