So?
Well, that was during a Council Meeting. When the oh so outraged Joe Pilchesky Fan Club was at home instead of at the meeting, where real change could be affected, rather than in those silly little lawsuits or "threats" the old man squats out day after day.
I will bet dollars to donuts that, despite all the rabid outrage demonstrated on that site about Channel 61 being shut out, or not broadcasting live, or whatever the deal is today, yet another site "record" will be set tonight. Between 7:00-10:00 PM. When all of the minions are "speaking out"...from their desk chairs, with a can of diet coke and a bowl of microwave popcorn, in front of their parent's computer. Those idiots don't even talk a good game anymore...how are they gonna speak into the wee earlies if only a handful of them go to the meetings? 2.5 minutes, times 5....yeah, that'll show 'em! *snicker*
As for the 43 guests? No one ever looked away from a trainwreck, Joe. They're in it for the schadenfreude, too. Just like me.
(BTW, Granma, that big word up there means being happy about someone else's failure. You know how when Joe loses a lawsuit, or gets bitchslapped in court, we all laugh at him? That's "shay-den-frood". Think Nelson from the Simpsons, when he says "HA HA" after Bart falls off his skateboard or something.)
9:07, and it's not looking too good. 2 members and 24 guests on line over there. I guess I was wrong about those idiots. I'm man enough to admit it.
I can't say it's a total loss, though. I think I might have stood by the old man himself tonight. Well, not immediately next to him, but if that's who I thought it was, I was definately basking in his aura. Admittedly, I don't know what he looks like, but he seemed to have the arrogant swagger working. Standing there all small and smug, it had to have been him. I had to leave because my eyes hurt from rolling so much at the speakers. (Folks, when you mutter incoherently, please speak up. Some of us are trying to decipher what you're saying. Thanks.) I'm looking forward to going to something on the sheet the one dude passed out about MLK Day, though. But you know something? Sherri Nealon Fanucci is really very pretty in person, IMO. I only saw her from the shoulders up, maybe about 20-30 feet away (I was in the back of the room) but we made definately eye contact. Yeah, she was very easy on the eyes. Seriously. I think she was flirting with me, too! (Sherri, if you read this, I felt the connection, but I'm a lousy flirt. I'd have tried to wink at you, but you were at work and I might have hurt myself trying. As much as I'd have liked it if you came to my work and winked at me, it would be unprofessional of us both. I'll continue this on craigslist tomorrow maybe. Maybe under "missed connections" or something. We gotta keep it on the down low, though, because I'm married. Just cause I'm chained to the porch, though, it doesn't mean I can't bark at traffic, know what I'm saying? I digress...) Anyway, I was gonna say something about wishing council patience. We may not all like them personally (Councilwoman Nealon Fanucci excepted, of course, and I like Mr. McGoff, although not in the same way as Ms. Fanucci. I went to school and played sports with his sons...), but they have a job to do. Listening to pointless ramblings and personal insults for 5 minutes a clip isn't on the job resume and does nothing to benefit the city as a whole. They represent a very vocal minority. But like I said, I was getting a migrane from the eye rolling, so I left. Fortunately, no one bet any donuts, or I'd be broke tomorrow.
Edited because thinking of Ms. Fanucci's sexy eyes short circuted my spelling abilities.
It looks as though our little Paul has himself a hot nut for a public figure. We'll only tease you for a little while. Can you hear me making smoochie noises at you ?
I always wondered why they jumped all over Sherry - maybe Joe started his bad-ass "she's not pretty" talk because he's got nothing much to look at on the home front. She's got a hell of a lot more going for her than that pinched-face, lipless Janet Evans. I think if Janet took a good $hit for herself, her face muscles might relax just a tad.
Unrelated to this or any other thread, but why doesn't Janet Evans have an e-mail link on the Council homepage? There has to be more than one J. Evans who'd have the @scrantonpa.gov e-mail address, so mailing to jevans @ scrantonpa.gov isn't a guarantee that it'll make it to her mailbox, is it? The Voice of the People has limited access for the very people who elected her. Odd....
Because she only wants to hear from the people she WANTS to. In all actuality, there are more of US than there are of THEM and she thinks that one or two or a hundred of us might sully our keyboards by typing her name on it. Plain and simple. She'll probably have this address changed by now, but who knows -- have at it. Maybe if you send her something, you'll get automatically added to her address book and accidentally get copied on a private email too. Just don't put "You're a crazy b1tch" in the subject line. Then she won't open it. Oh Hell, she just might ...
It should still be an auto-link (is that even the right phrase? You click on it, and your e-mail client opens up with the address in the TO: line.) on the main page, just like everyone else's. Jeez, Mr. McGoff's been there a month and he's got an auto-link address. Evans is "for the people" just like the old man is.
I gotta hand it to her, though, after the one old timer asked about the discount for seniors in regards to cable, and Gatelli said they did send a letter, Evans came over to the guy after he was done, with some sort of document and explained it a little more to him. That was actually pretty classy. Unlike the next speaker's "What remnants of council there is now..." comment.
All I know is that when I had a legitimate complaint last year and sent an email to city council as a whole, the only one to respond was Judy Gatelli, who called me on the phone about the problem and had something done about it. Not even an acknowledgment from Janet Almighty.
I pointed that out once to the DD tinfoil hat crew and was blasted for it, because as well know, at DD Judy is Satan incarnate and Janet is the second coming....

I spoke at a council meeting oh ... I would have to say it was about 2 years ago ... Janet knows me and well she got up and walked out of the room ... She stood out in the hall with Charlie Newcomb Jr. and came right back in as I was leaving the podium ... I guess she didn't think what I had to say was of any importance ... she can feel however she wants ... but to say that she cares about all of the people ... well that is a blatant lie because she only cares about the people that she knows will vote for her and her cronies ...
