Two questions...

1: What is a 'pocket hanger'? I guess Granma thinks that being one is bad, unless (I think) you are a Joe Pilchesky 'pocket hanger', which I am assuming Granma thinks is good.

2: Granma said "...Don't let them stop us with their pettyness...". Why would Granma accuse people of being like race car driver Richard Petty? I don't recall reading anything about Mr Petty in that entire thread. Besides, I am sure there are some fans of Mr Petty out there who would be THRILLED to be accused of 'Pettyness'. Personally, I'm not a fan of NASCAR, so no one could every accuse me of 'Pettyness'.
