Would a smart lawyer say this in print?

Welcome to our political website. I'm Joe Pilchesky, the person directly responsible for everything you will read here. Thank you for taking the time to come here.

So doesn't Joe pretty much assume responsibility for what is said on the message board by printing that on his home page?

That's some pretty thin legal ice. I'd love to be the other lawyer when Joe is sued or arrested for a post on that board. I think he just gave up his defense.

Would a smart lawyer say it?  Most likely, no.  But you asked if Joe Pilchesky, neither a lawyer nor very smart, would say it.  Abso-friggin-lutely!  The website is not there primarily to expose corruption, or act on behalf of the people, or to do anything remotely related to the First Amendment, as he'd like us to believe.  It's there to promote the old man's personal vendettas against an administration that wronged him.  It's there to stroke his fragile ego and for him to feel loved and cared for since apparently he isn't getting the love at home.

"(I am) directly responsible for everything you will read here..."  What an arrogant, and entirely untrue, statement to make.  Talk about a mouse that roared.

On the other hand, when a large percentage of the "active" posters (I'm not counting the ones who disagreed and got banned, the ones who've registered and not posted yet after nearly a month, and the one-off Attaboy Joe posters, which brings his "membership" well below 100, not over 500 as he claims) are socks of the old man, then maybe he's got a point, other than the one on the top of his head.

But if he wants to take credit for Granma's illiterate ramblings, Milo's Elmoesque idiocy, and Antisystemicmovement's simple racism, then let him.

Milo = Elmoesque --- I will never read Milo's posts again and take them seriously.

Good one !  None of his rantings will have meaning any longer, especially when you hear them in that squeaky muppet voice.  I wonder if he hears that silly laugh in his own head??

The next thing you know they'll be having their own time slot on Channel 61 with their version of "Da Lah an Yous" with Joe Pilcheski as moderator.  Either that or they'll rope Sorvino into remaking an old classic with something called "My Cousin Joey".

Yes, a Pilchesky Channel 61 talk show could be interesting. Show topics could include:

"Why people who are smarter than me really piss me off...starting with the Jesuits"
"Scranton's most important problem...Imported Jews" (*)
"Almost winning in a court of law"
"Doherty's secret plan to invade Moosic"
"Speaking in the third person....it's not just for English Royalty anymore" (guest host Elmo)
"Protecting yourself from ICN mind-reading satellites using aluminum foil"

(*) Anti's rant about 'importing Jews' still makes me laugh myself silly.

"Tonight's guest on Pilchesky Live: Kurt Shotko and Tony the dog faced boy...they'll square off with ringmaster Joe Pilchesky on hot button topics like the smoking ban, the sale of the golf course, and the corruption in city hall....heeeeeeeere's Joey!"
