Glenn remember when we tried to warn you about the Clariol Queen and you didn't believe us...I am giving you the same advise about Dibileo...trust me on this one (I didn't bull#**** you on the queen I am not on this either)
Gary DiBileo is one of my favorite elected officials, so I cannot emphasize enough that having his brother run for tax collector would completely derail both of their political careers. Gary needs to stop this potential candidacy stat.
I'm just wondering: how is Gary DiBileo managing to be a full time...
...real estate agent
...insurance agent
...county controller
...all at the same time? Funny, but there are people who make a single career out of any one of those three. Now just to head this off at the pass, Gary is a very good insurance agent...in fact, one of the better agents in the area...so it's not a question of "he sucks at being a _______" therefore he doesn't really have a business to run. I don't know how the real estate business is going these days, but I do know he lists a lot of high-end homes. Maybe Christine (his wife) does some of the work, but she's not doing all of it.
I've met Gary & I know his wife. They are good people. While he may be doing a good job of pissing off people Glenn doesn't like (which I suspect is at the heart of Glenn's admiration), I'm troubled by whole "more than one full time job" aspect of his tenure at Controllers.

I have always gotten along well with Gary DiBileo both personally and professionally. But the controller is supposed to be a full-time job. And I believe that one taxpayer-provided paycheck in a family is sufficient. I have a feeling this may be another one-term extension of the Curse Of The County Controller. The shower kerfuffle is just stupid, however.
I realize none of you have any real reason to trust my word but I will give it anyway.....Gary (I can not speak to his wife's real personality as I don't know her well enough) coming across as a "nice guy" is his "thing" his act if you will.....trust me he will throw anyone and anything under the bus if it will further his agenda. He is not a true "nice guy". He is a chameleon and he will be whatever you want him to be at the moment he is speaking to you and then be whatever the next person wants him to be the next moment. He has no backbone and no strong convictions. I will say no more. You are of course adults and able to form your own opinions.

Jack Loscombe needs his pension. Janet and Frank will be gone, and there is no longer a supermajority to keep intact. So yes, I say he resigns for financial reasons and I would not blame him. The queen will not do any "payback" on this one and thus protect her reputation on the way out.
The only one I can think of is someone who is a self-serving political shill who managed to not only get herself two public jobs, but also somehow has a son earning six figures on the public dime as well. Did I mention the "back-breaking work as an English teacher so she needs a disability pension" scam a well?
Yeah, it would be THAT reputation.
