I'm not sure about what might fade into the sunset, although it sounds romantic if you can pull it off, but Dohertydeciet.com's days are numbered. The SS Doherty has been sunk, and the SS Dohertydeceit.com will rest in peace at the bottom right along side of him the day I pull the plug. And that happens no matter who wins this primary. And here's a clue, you won't be reading Dohertydeceit.com for any information regarding the November general election, regardless of who wins the primary election.
I have no hard-on for Bill Courtright. I'll take him and his family for dinner tonight. This is politics. It's the side of the tracks I work and he has known what side of the tracks I work for years now, like 8 years. If I was Bill Courtright, knowing there's a Joe Pilchesky and Dohertydeceit.com out there, I would have prepared for this race by ensuring I gave him nothing to work with. He failed to prepare against that. Hey, think back, for as much as I was a Janet lover, and make no mistake, I still am, when her dogs got off the leash I was the first in line to kick their asses, and her's. That's politics. Also, if I was Bill Courtright, I would have knocked on Joe Pilchesky's door and thanked him for all he's done over the years and asked for his help to get elected to the office of mayor. I wouldn't have told Joe Pilchesky to go fvck himeslf. Nor Janet Evans. It's a slippery slope to begin with, why make it more slippery, but that's what he did. We'll see how it plays out, but the the slope is now extremely slippery and Bill Courtright made it that way. It didn't have to be.
There are sound reasons why I refer to Bill Courtright as stupid. Betrayers, like Bill, can do a lot of things, like control the extent of the betrayal, but they cannot control the response. Bill Courtright is stupid. Period!!! You want a man that stupid for mayor? Vote for him.

Allow me to shed some reality into Joe's personal reality.
Chris Doherty was not indicted by anyone...other than Joe Pilchesky.
Chris Doherty was most likely never investigated by anyone...other than Joe Pilchesky.
Chris Doherty was not given a state job...and no one believed that was going to get one...other than Joe Pilchesky (and maybe Spindler).
Chris Doherty not once ever lashed out at Joe Pilchesky. Hell, I don't ever even recall the Mayor even mentioning Pilchesky's name.
Chris Doherty decided not to run for re-election for a variety of reasons...none of which included Joe Pilchesky.
Chris Doherty "sunk" by DD? Yeah, sure, it must have been lie #1457 that did 'ole Chris in...
DD is sailing off into the sunset because no one gives a sh!t about Joe Pilchesky and his gutter-snipe toadies. Hell, even his gutter-snipe toadies don't seem to care about him any more.
In the end, Chris Doherty will end his career as Mayor, go back to the family business and enjoy his family. And Joe Pilchesky will still be a bitter old man with too much time on his hands, pretending to be what he clearly isn't (including such things as "a lawyer" and "a community activist").

The one thing Doherty always had going for him was good legal advisers....close to going over the line with the "Summer in the City" advertisement campaign....Almost caught up in the middle of stolen political sign fiasco, except investigation was tanked by Jarbola....Really pushed the envelope when Courtright didn't resign from council, except witnesses refused to speak on the record.
I'd estimate Doherty is in the same camp as Cordaro; just luckier....

Well Ag ... hopefully DD is off to the sunset ... but he will probably just change the name to whoever the new Mayor of Scranton will be ______________deceit. He is too much of a narcissus to ever give up DD ... Oh my ... I have not had much to say in such a long time ... I do regularly check in here though to see what everyone is saying.
And I have to agree with your post up there ... Pilchesky was not the demise of Chris Doherty ... I think just for fun I'm gonna go across the hall for old times sake and see what's up over there!

Balko...It's probably not possible to have a politician serving for so long and not at least have some hints of impropriety. In the public sector that's simply how it goes, but it wasn't my point. Joe Pilchesky...either directly or via his toadies or made-up user names...repeatedly went on about how Doherty was being "investigated by the Feds...". I claim BULL$HIT in that no such proof has ever been offered.
Now am I calling you a liar? No. You seem like a reasonable person to me. What I am saying is that there has been no proof offered (minor point) and that Joe Pilchesky is a lying opportunity (my major point).

Sorry if I misinterpreted the point of your post. As for Pilchesky being a lying opportunist, I think anyone with an IQ over 80 would agree. How anyone can even remotely take him seriously is amazing.
