Yes Glenn we definitely need a place for "the efficient spread of information that would not easily be procured otherwise" information like:
The parentage of minor children
Racist remarks (Remember??? You know the stuff you supposedly quit over right before you joined again)
Homophobic rants (Jeremy Burton attack)
Homoerotic comments (every other word out of Joey-boy’s mouth….wonder when he is coming out of the closet?)
“How to be a better stalker” (anything and everything on ______ ______ fill in the blank)
“How to totally humiliate your wife in 3 easy steps”. (Drool over the Clairol queen in public, be your wife’s legal team, lose the case, and then drop her for a newer (old) model, talk incessantly about your new (old) babe on your wife’s website.)

The site is nothing more than an electronic grapevine and should be considered as such. The title should deal with the efficient spread of information that would not easily be procured otherwise.
Not every thread has to be about corruption. Sometimes it exposes sneakiness. Sometimes stupidity. Sometimes even just information that needs to make it to the public.
When he changes the site ... and the scope of the site he will lose a good majority of his followers because these people are dedicated to the hatred of Chris Doherty ... so that is what it is now ... and that is what they will make it no matter what ... and if he does not allow them to do that then he will lose them. And keep in mind there are not many intelligent free thinkers in that bunch that resides across the hall from us.

Grapevine? I suspect that's okay. If I were in charge of that sewer I'd weave the word "gossip" into the mix becasue that's about 97% of the faux news posted there. DD is the equivalent of the Onion, but without the good writing and humor.
BTW Glenn sure does have the luxury of posting under his own name, does he not? Of course that luxury comes at the expense of having to kiss Pilchesky's ass (man, that must taste bad) & provide the elderly Internet bully with a crumb of legitimacy via his presence at DD.

There's no other way to sustain operations. It will have to become a subscription site w/advertising, but it will also have to provide more services. If something should happen in the meanwhile in terms of financial support, I'm happy to continue to provide it free.

I agree nothing over there will ever change....all of the character assassinations, the filthy gossip, the disregard for children's privacy or feelings and the rampant racism and sexism will continue as long as that pig of a human being you call a friend is in charge.
BTW I guess only the pig is your friend since I haven't seen a shred of sympathy or any display of distress over the treatment he has subjected Edith to....I am no fan of hers but I know what he is doing to her is awful

Amen & amen. He has publicly shamed her...not for stealing from her late father (that would be a joke, as he participated in that as well)...but for apparently not being as good as the "new model". Yes, Edith should pay for her crime, but that payment shouldn't include a very public humiliation at the hands of someone who supposedly loved her.
This is how Joe Pilchesky treats someone he care(d) for...what does this say about his character...or lack thereof?
I've never expected Glenn to comment on this, as he has become the master of never saying too much to really piss Joe off. Joe and Glenn have a very intesting symbioitic relationship...

...Glenn gets assurance that the most rapid of Joe's posters leave him alone whenever he decides to run for office; it's a nice thought knowing that, for example, Less (mis-spelling on purpose) will not be rummaging through one's gargage at 2 in the morning OR that Glenn's children/spouse will not read of an affair that Glenn is not actually having (but which is reported as FACT on DD)
It is a win for all concerned. Shrewed Attorney Cashuric, very shrewed. Well as long as one doesn't spend too much time pondering a general sense of propriety. Oh, wait, Glenn has "privately" warned Joe about stuff, right? Yeah, that's the ticket!

I mean this not in a nasty manner or with any ill will. We're friends. That said, responsibility (something sorely lacking on both sides of Guerre Scranton) must be taken.
In any event, we may be nearing the end (unless provoked) of my involvement with DD for three reasons: (1) I have finally...and unexpectedly...caught my Road Runner; (2) both Janet and the mayor have imploded so there's no further point in shaking the tree and (3) I have a new and more productive way of giving and receiving information online.
And as much as I like dealing with you folks (though I have to rely on a good deal of intuition from the tone and language of the written word), I do have to take issue with you on one thing.
