Congratulations, you got my attention sufficient to stop me from speaking last night, but how could you not? The desperate timing of your threats, advanced upon family members as I waited to speak, has achieved nothing more or less than a brief stay of execution, politically speaking, of course.
As I waited to speak, calls came into my cell phone from one family member after the other informing me of threats they were receiving if I spoke at council. Legitimate or not, I had to handle the situation. Panic was the word of the evening. That much you accomplished.
The result of your threats is this: After meeting with my family for several hours, and after extensive discussion on the need to continue to cleanse this part of the world of corruption so vast that it has infiltrated every aspect of life, it is the unaminous decision of all that the communal benefits of what I do far outweighs any consequences to one or more family members.
That being said, the response to your threats is "just do it". I thank you for the opportunity to have a family gathering where support for what I do was heavily reinforced and affirmed. It was nice to experience.
On another note, the next time threats extend to my immediate family, I shall consider it a new rule, politically speaking, of course.
Here's the speech I prepared for last night. It wasn't Part One of my attack on the Courthouse, rather, it was in response to the hundreds of opposing emails, letters and phone calls I received after appearing at council last week. Part One will be presented next Tuesday, regardless of any threats to me or anyone else.

That was just a matter of time, but to go after family members is low, even for this area. As we all know, free speech isn't always free and freedom in itself can be more expensive than we know.
Sad commentary to the state of politics around here.
(emphasis mine)
Oh, I see. It's okay for YOU to involve someone's family, but not anyone else. Is this the "new rule, politically speaking, of course"?
You may not be very effective, Joe, but you sure are funny as hell. Credibility is overrated.
Well doesn't he get death threats everytime he is planning on speaking at council meeting on a weekly basis ... it's his yearly promise ... and the "death threats" are his yearly excuse to not be expected to carry through with the promise and also serves to rally the troops around him when they begin to become bored or start to question him ... we should have know he would claim this once again.

I want everyone to stop and think about one thing ... Joe Pilchesky is not a lawyer ... he's just a guy playing a lawyer on the internet. Please don't trust your legal needs to this man.
And the Oscar for best OVERLY dramatic performance in a comedy goes to.....
Someone called "Just the bare facts" is responsible for this little piece: "I read your speech, Joe. That should bring everyone to tears at the courage you always show. That's one everyone should copy and put on their message board to reread often. What an incredibly brave man and family to stand up to the ba$tards."
Moved to tears??? And I thought the Heaven's Gate followers of Marshal Applewhite were idol worshipers. Pilchesky has proved PT Barnum "fool some of the people" theorem over and over.
I just can not believe that this guy thinks he is so friggin' important. He's a glorified blogger for cripe's sake with a huge chip on his shoulder. He's good at telling tales. Sure, there might be a grain of sand's worth of truth to every one of his posts, but the rest of his man-made beach is made up of either fluff and/or outright lies.
I think I'd like that jackass to lose a few hunt-and-peck fingers or maybe rip the tongue out of his face (politically speaking of course), but important enough to receive a death threat? No sir, he isn't that important and he isn't that big a threat to the powers that be - no matter what he or his followers think.
Ok, is it me, or does the 'speech' not make sense? He took those papers to read at council. Had em in his pocket. But he decided not to read them due to multiple phone calls he received, informing him of threats made to him and his family while he was already at council chambers. With the papers in his pocket. Right?
Then how could his 'speech' already say he had to change his mind about speaking if he didn't know about the threats until he was notified as he waited to speak?
And to top it all off, there was no mention of any names, just the implication of a few individuals, in a large group of people, who do a certain job, and who live in this area. Big deal.
This is the Judy Gatelli threat all over again. "I'm gonna do it." "I swear, I will." "I'm walking up there." "Watch me do it." "You just watch me." "Here I go."
