Closing the school? Really? Are you smoking something?? That building has been over capacity since two years after it was build. As usual the loons who wanted no part of the project when it was being built and who screamed "I Bleed Blue" so their high school wouldn't be combined with the new school, couldn't wait to get their kids in after the fact.......despite their actually belonging in West Scranton. Get your head out of your ass or worse out of that jerk-off Pilchesky's ass
I really like Chris Phillips also. Have a question, I have been hearing and think back we needed a new school cause we had so many students so the answer build a new school.
That new High School was in the works way before it became public, now I hear we do not have enough students, it seems the new plan already in the works sell Scranton High, to the new Medical School, again already planned, has anyone else heard about this?

That is so far from the truth .... Scranton HS is bursting at the seams ... anyone with half a brain would know that if they ever drove by the place at the beginning or the end of a school day ... So many kids it's not funny.

And just to add to that I would say that if they were going to sell a school to the medical school then I would imagine that it would be Northeast Int. the former Scranton HS ... maybe that's where the confusion for these idiots come in ... with the close proximity to the new building I would imagine that the Medical School would want to get their hands on that property. Now that would make sense to me. But it's not for a lack of student population. If the District were in such a decline in student enrollment why then was an expansion of Kennedy School needed and they actually demoed Whittier because they could not get zoning for an expansion so they decided to build brand new. And what about the new School in Tripps park ... if our enrollment were declining then I do not think that the district would have been able to get State and Federal money to help pay for all of the capitol improvement projects. But I could be wrong ... maybe the kids across the hall have a scoop that I am not privy to .... NOT!

My God, they really are functionally retarded over there.
By the way, wasn't the closure of Washington Plaza supposedly at the hands of Lackawanna College, or the new Medical School or maybe even the Free Masons? Having driven by there a few times, it looks strangely like it's being remodeled...as a housing project...for lower income residents.
Where is Darwin when you need him?

I noticed that myself Ag ... they are dumping a ton of money and doing a total remodel on the place.
These people like to make things up and they love to see how far the rumor goes. I highly doubt that they got their information from a reliable source ... I don't think that Chris Phillips sits down and discusses such matters with any of them ... even though they seem to love him.

I wouldn't be in a rush to over-value anyone on the school board. They'd cut one another's throat in a heartbeat if he helped a friend or family member. It's comprised of some pretty brain dead people. Total the IQ for Bob Sheridan, Pat O'Malley and Bob Lesh and you still wouldn't break 100. I like Phillips right where he's at now. They won't know which hat he's wearing from month to month, but he still plays the game instead of playing it straight.
Sharp edges may think that these people are brain dead but apparenty at least in the cases of Lesh and O'Malley people believe in them because they keep re-electing them. Sheridan I don't really know but people must think he's good as they put that check next to his name on the ballott.
Chris Phillips ... I have not decided what I feel about him ... but they seem to like him because he is playing a game ... well I am not much for game players ... I don't think that people should be held on a pedestal because they are playing a game. What I think each and every school board member should do is to make well informed decisions ... and make the right decision that will benefit the children of Scranton first and then the taxpayers. They should not be afraid to do what is right because it is not popular and they certainly should not make a game of it ... these decisions that they make should first and foremost put the needs of the children of this city first! Not Teachers, Not Aides, Not Clerks and Not Maintenance ... the CHILDREN! Because if it were not for the children none of these people would be needed, including the school board!

another entry in this topic.... are you kidding me?? Really?? How bogus does this sound??? What a jackas$! A one night stand?? He would be lucky if a girl would just stand next to him..... JERK! lol lol lol
When I was in high school, I had a one-night stand with a teacher's daughter. We kept it to ourselves, but the day came that I bragged about my delightful night with my closest friend, who then proceeded to hit me up for a quarter a day for the rest of the school year as payment for his silence. Back then, a quarter bought you lunch, believe it or not. He ate, I starved. I learned a good lesson at a young age about sharing a secret, which was, when two people know it, it's not a secret.
Wolfe knows where at least some of the bodies are buried, so to speak. He's indispensable to the corrupt factions that run the District. This is where the Cawley, Burke, Colo/Sowinski, Bogart, Blumer factions get no respect from a seasoned thief like myself. They break into the proverbial vault (revenues) for illicit deeds, but can't keep the small players on a leash because they bragged too much. The mafia would have just whacked Wolfe if he asked for anything more than lunch money. 90K a year is heavy hush money. Fire his ass and call his bluff. Look at Eisele, tail between legs and curled up on his recliner and not a peep out of him. Eisele and Wolfe are both just sponging whores who can be pissed on at will and they'll do nothing about it, but Cawley, Burke and Colo don't have it in them to impose those housecleaning measures.
If you're going to take charge, then do it with a firm hand or let someone else do it. I'm available at $200.00 an hour and I'll provide better results than that other sponging whore, Joe O'Brien, who won't admit it. Fight in the uniform you were born in, because dressing like an imposter will have consequences, like those being suffered at NP right now.
200 per hour ... I wouldn't pay him 2 cents per hour.

No my dear he is not ... he's actually offering to represent someone else for $200 per hour.
