and his special gal Missy Jan is just the person to do it! (sorry Glenn I know how special she is to you too and how special you thought you were to her, but if you have read Animal Farm then you know some animals are more special than others. You will just have to get in line to kiss her ass. )
Joe P. if you spent an hour or two talking with Steve you'd like him.
I could talk to anyone for two hours and like them. That's the problem here, everything is about popularity and less about qualifications.
He really is a very nice guy.
Nice guys are a dime a dozen. Reserve them for birthday parties and barbecues. See DiBileo
He's educated and well liked at the school. I'm just not understanding why you don't like him. Have you ever met him and talked with him?
Have never met him or talked with him. Blame the Evans camp for trying to get him into a council position in the embarrassing manner that they did it. He's a political piece now. Branded. Chris Evans ass kisser.
Seems like this is very political for you, too. It goes two ways.
What's the other way? Turn your head? First, "crony ass-kisser" Bartnicki into a zoning position, then what? Listen, I get it. It's politics. The council seat debacle was an eye-opener for the Evans faithful. Among many others, I was quite adversely impacted with the fundraiser she threw three years ago for $20 a head at the Community Center regarding some big announcement, which announcement was never announced. It was the fundraiser where she spent 20 minutes expressing to us how the sun shines out of her son's ass. No sale on the sun. Not out of his ass and if these crony endeavors continue, less out of her's. She playing with fire. Trust me.
The Evans' have the power now. They earned it. So what if Chris is or isn't behind the appointment. That goes on all the time in politics. You appoint your friends and people you can trust. You would do the same thing.
Suffice it to say that Janet Evans has little or no control over either her husband or her son, either or whom at any given time can sh!t out a humiliating mouthful to expose how vulnerable she is to their whims. That's not to say that Dave and Chris Evans are not very loyal to her, they're just more loyal to their own ego-driven big mouths and don't care how they undermine her credibility. They've been doing it to her for years now. They can't keep their mouths shut. It's that simple. I've seen them both in action. Not enough political savvy between them to make fill a thimble.

Hey Ag ... even a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then. There have been a few times that I have been in agreement with Joe Pilchesky so I know how you are feeling.

It's more about the politics of working to seed change for a fair, transparent and accountable future. There are many of us that believed voting for Janet Evans was inclusive of securing that future. This kind of conduct defeats what we voted for. She makes herself vulnerable by her own hand. If you're going to be rendered vulnerable, let your opponent work at that.
It's very fvcking upsetting to see this lack of political wisdom and display of sheer stupidity.
We're in "can't trust Janet" with the future territory now. She's done it to herself. I don't believe she's her own woman. I believe she's told what to do and how to do it by both her husband and her son. We're seeing the real Janet here. All those years of her bitching about the mayor were safe political posturing years. Vulnerability could not be detected until she got behind the wheel. Now that she has, we already have several stops signs leveled, as well as a few democrats flattened in the street because she has allowed her husband and son to drive. The stupidity of appointing Bartnicki is off the scale. And, shame on Joyce for going along with it.
It's not good. Self-inflicted wounds get infected easily in politics, and this one shall do exactly that. I talk to a lot of people from various political circles. The concensus is patently on the side of political arrogance, not ignorance.
It must be quite painful for them to finally realize what most of us here have been saying for years. And I would have thought that I would be laughing at them when they finally got hit with reality ... but I think it's kind of sad.

Oh here comes his excuse to fall back into line and return to his butt kissing of the Clairol queen.............the little woman told me to....Poor Edith is caring the pansy's water and his special friend no less. Oh dear the little woman is always the last to know.... hayna??
I agree with Canoe. We have been betrayed far too many times by the democratic party to give them any credence or leverage in how government should be managed. If this decision can be shown to be a good one regarding the integrity of the appointments, then we might be on our way to a more equitable application of laws and codes.
