I am sure I will have my head handed to me over this, but as I have said before, I am not beholden to any politian. They work for me, I don't work for them.I would like to trust that Mrs. Evans has our best interest at heart but I also agree with Ronald Regans  "Trust but Verify" stance.Therefore on that note I must say please do not get too c ocky when egging on the FBI.

I have heard from multiple sources that the FBI did not "invite" her down, I understand it was more like she insisted on a meeting with them and they ultimately agreed. Please understand that I think that would have been fine if it worked out that way....unless she failed to throw any red meat on the table after insisting on the meeting.The FBI are not happy when having their chains jerked.Remember...while we may have accepted Mrs. Evans explanation about how she secured a school district teaching job while being a school director at the time, I highly doubt the FBI will be so easily assured. In addition, given the rumors at the time concerning her and a prominent school district individual, the securing of the job seems even more questionable (Please let no one pretend to have not heard those rumors, they were rampant at the time and still circulate from time to time).I certainly hope she didn't elevate herself above the radar with this meeting and inadvertently become a person of interest to them. Let's not kid ourselves here people; there are few, if any, public officials who could stand up too long to a prolonged investigation by the FBI, that kind of scrutiny is scorching and virtually anyone they touch gets burned.

Then in response to a poster who made a jackass of themselves by basically posting ...ya she got a job and had a lurid affair but it was a long time ago so who cares?

I am not bring anything new to the table these things were always known.  I was merely suggesting that no one get too pushy with the FBI. As to prior bad acts are you suggesting bad acts are only bad acts if they happened recently? I would submit that getting a very high paying job under questionable conditions is as relevant today as it was then....maybe even more so with the recent events unfolding in Luzerne and Lackawanna counties.  While we are on the subject are we OK with bad acts as long as it is our 'guy"? In addition I remember this board having a stroke when another school district individual engaged in  "a lurid affair " (your words not mine) This board certainly cared about that event can you explain why it is not important now?
