Looks to me that the Super Majority wants to be the Super Mayority. Is she really as dumb as she acts ? The city of Scranton is a strong Mayor form of Government, during the last Home Rule Charter Committee the vote went to keep this form of Government for the City, they just can't seem to understand this is what the public wants. Why don't the Legion of Doomers just move somewhere, where they can start their own sect or community and she can be queen with all her little followers. Don't go away MAD, just Go Away.

Well so much for her being different than all other politicians ... she so far has proven that she is just like all the rest. She and her two running mates promised that they would go in and find a way to work with the administration. I remember the robo call that came to my home with these promises from Mr. Rogan and Mrs. Evans. So far they have gone in and found new ways to work against the administion. Same old Same old.

I do believe that this was brought up in another thread. And we did express disgust that she did this. In fact I do believe that even at least one of the kids across the hall had a problem with this and created a thread to discuss it ... but since it went against the queen ... I think you can guess what happened to that thread.

Mr Free Speech strikes again!
The posting no doubt violated Article 4, paragraph 6, verses 23 & 24 of Joe Pilchesky's "Why Free Speech Does Not Apply at DohertyDeceit" disclaimer. I think it reads something like this:
23 Only Joe Pilchesky can, at his sole discretion, mildly criticize Janet Evans. 24 Other posters caught criticizing Janet Evans will have their postings removed and will subject to a warming; repeated violations will result in banishment.

Somehow I just knew that one would be gone. Joe can't let that go it might anger his queen .... and then what would he do. I noticed that he was a bit disgruntlled with her in the very beginning of the year ... and then it was expressed by someone that she was not pleased ... her son was not pleased ... and voila .. he was back on the Jan band wagon. And he says that he is afraid of nobody ... apparently he is afraid of the Evans Clan.

Where: The County Court of Common Pleas in which the local governmental entity is located.
When: Within the Time Limitations Provided in the Sunshine Act
What: A Complaint and Service of Process on the Defendant
Any litigation is initiated by the filing of a document known as the "Complaint". The Complaint is a numbered listing of allegations made in a given case. The Complaint is headed by a "caption", which simply includes the name of the Plaintiff(s), the Defendant(s) and the Court in which the case has been brought; and is signed at the end by the Plaintiff(s) who are bringing the lawsuit.
Accompanying the Complaint will be two items that are explained in fuller detail below: (1) a Certificate of Service of Process, and (2) a Notice to Defend.
Litigation is commenced when the Complaint is filed with these items with the proper County Court - which will be the County in which the local government entity is situated.
further, why would the judge want negotiations? either the home rule charter and administrative code have been violated or not. there's nothing to negotiate. this is actually dangerous territory. we still have a strong mayor form of government. the judge needs to get off the fence and rule on the legality of the move that council has tried to make, otherwise they can do this very same thing again and again and go into "negotiation." what a crock.
Can you imagine this freak accepting this story from anyone if they weren't attached to Missy Jan? Wow talk about being whipped! Yo pansy boy!!! Reality check!!....Boyd is a lawyer! He can do anything the council wants him to do in court. Wake up water boy!!!
During a lengthy explanation of this whole situation to Judge O'Brien, Mr. Hughs stated that it is not within the scope of his duties to file the mandamus action. He seemed confident with that. I don't dispute that one way or another, but if I don't step up to the plate, it probably wouldn't get done. That's how they've gotten away with all they've gotten away with around here. No one has challenged government actions for decades. I can understand why not. The government entities make these legal issues far more conflicting than they are to drag it out forever. It costs public officials, like Doherty, nothing to make an issue a five to seven year adventure to Harrisburg and back. On the other hand, the challenger pays. In my case, I don't use a lawyer, but if I did I'd be well over a million dollars in legal fees thus far, if not two.
If the city digs its heels in and summons the court administrator to guide this to a crony judge ( aren't they all?) and the judge rules against me, I'm off to Harrisburg for the 12th time.
Solicitors typically handle legal issues and provide guidance, and don't necessarily initiate legal actions against other government entities, but it has been done.

Only in Scranton would you see this. In cities all over the country they embrace their colleges and universities. Here in Scranton, they attack them.
The PILOT payment was a payment of goodwill. The University wasn't required to pay a dime.
Also ... from my understanding the University only asked for air space, no roads would be closed and they were even creating a new court that would run from Monroe to Quincy.
She might be your Wonder Woman, but Janet Evans is no match the people at the University. They made her look like an ass.
I for one wonder how the people on this board who adore this woman would comment if it were Doherty, McDowell etc. who was robbing Workers Comp and still serving on Council.
I'm sure she/he will be banned very soon .... they aren't in the Pilchesky frame of mind ... but you do know once they fall in line with his way of thinking and let him know that they have seen the light ... well they will be more than welcome to begin posting once again at DD ... at least that was what Joe told me after he banned me.
