Well today I witnessed the biggest total embarrassment and slap in the face any citizen of the City of Scranton should ever have to see. While attending the funeral of local hero Marine Corporal Johnson, who gave the ultimate sacrafice for all Americans, I was amased by the responce from Marine color and Honor Guards, veteran groups, politicians, family, friends, and general citizens. I particularly was stunned to see 6 or 7 Pennsylvania State Police Vehicles escorting the funeral to the cemetary, and nowhere in sight was the Scranton Police Department. I am embarrassed to admit that I live in this City after being personally insulted that this CLOWN for a Police Chief failed to send any representation from the Police Department. This is unexcusable and Mayor Doherty should realize what a jerk he is and get rid of him before he does something or nothing and really causes a problem. I hope Council person Evans lowers his salary so low he has to leave and get a job where he is qualified, in his Mother in laws bar. I am totally embarrassed for the Johnson Family, and I hope they can forgive any veteran Scranton Police Officers who would have been honored to be there out of respect for their son. God Bless Larry and all the service men and women fighting to protect all of us, even the jerks like Chief Elliott.

I assume you are as equally embarressed by the off duty officers who choose to not show up as well? I am not aware of any rule that says they couldn't go on their own despite not having a leader who chooses to do the right thing.
