How about Joyce and Rogan ... Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dumb I could have peed my pants reading this one today ... and the saddest thing of all was just how true it is.
If you want to read the story that goes with this cartoon ... please click the following link (I Know you will find it well worth reading)
This is my favorite from this article ... it comes out of the middle so to undersand it you will have to read the article.
If Mr. Doherty wins Mr. Mellow's seat, council will pick his successor. Most prognosticators assume Mrs. Evans would gladly succeed Mr. Doherty, but I'm not convinced. The mayor's post requires more responsibility than Mrs. Evans has shown she cares to accept. True leaders don't have the luxury of simply pointing out problems; they are expected to offer solutions.
Mayor Evans would be stuck with actual responsibility for moving the city forward, and she would be beholden to the municipal unions who backed her rise. Finally lifting the city out of distressed status will likely require deep cuts, and lopping off a few management positions won't get it done. The bulk of the city's employees are members of the public service unions, and payroll cuts are the fastest route to savings. It is the spectre of such cuts that have fueled the unions' war against Mr. Doherty and a voter-approved recovery plan that might have resolved these issues long ago.
Mrs. Evans owes the police and fire unions, and they are unlikely to accept excuses as payment. If staffing cuts are off the table, satisfying them will require more borrowing or tax hikes, both of which Mrs. Evans has cited as reasons Mr. Doherty should be fired, preferably from a cannon. Ironically, she may help him win the Senate seat and put herself in the hot seat. Her supporters may vote for Mr. Doherty just to get him out of City Hall.

It is a well written column....fairly balanced as well. All the more reason why the DD troops are planning a run through Chris Kelly's garbage as I type this.
Chris...if you are reading this, might I suggest seeding your trash with perhaps a rotting dead skunk or something equally horrible...no sense making the work easy for the Legion.

I am sure they are going to do something ... how dare he attack the queen ... but I still say that Rogan as Tweedle Dee and Joyce as Tweedle Dumb ... that is the best. I saw that and I have to say that I would have loved to have been a fly on Janet Evans wall when she picked up that article and read it this morning .... can you just imagine her reaction to it.
it is so funny ... but sad at the same time because it is quite true ... as I laugh I begin to think ... how many people are seeing this article ... and what must they be thinking about the residents of the city of Scranton.
And now we will be seeing the Legion of Doom shirts return to Council Chambers as all of the speakers will be up in arms for being mentioned in the article. But actually I won't mind so much as I was terribly bored by the Janet Evans Love Fest that was going on ... I don't think I could keep watching that week after week.

Scranton politics is like a soap opera. I can't find out what happens in tomorrow's episode! I'm on the edge of my seat!
Will Doherty knock up some random socialite? Will Janet's devious husband cause a scene? Will a rare NEPA weather event spawn a tornado that strikes during a council meeting, critically injuring/maiming various Doomers? Will Pilchesky file another law suit?
chris kelly is a left wing cool aid drinking kook. his news paper is very bias that is why there sales are down. and did away with the evening paper and just have one in the morning if he keeps it up the paper will loose more.

...EVERY news gathering organization has some bias...that's human nature. In fact, I'll go so far as to say that unbiased reporting is a figment of the imagination. The REAL ISSUE is that the Times doesn't have the bias that you particularly like. Is the Times left of center? Maybe; but the Times Leader is right of center. Guess what? They are both in the same general pickle relative to circulation. So much for that theory.
...Newspapers have been in a steady decline because the ways that people stay informed are changing. When I was a teenager the Internet didn't exist and we had four TV stations (16, 22, 28 & 44) plus two local papers. Now I have access to the Internet at home and at work, Satellite radio (with 130 channels, including the news in Korean), a phone that browses the web from anywhere in the continental United States (yes, I can read the DrudgeReport from the men's room at the Viewmont Mall if I want) and probably a half dozen or more cable channels that have nothing but the news on. Oh, and USA Today, the WSJ plus the Scranton Times.
Now say again...you actually think that newspapers are in decline because of something that has always existed, namely "bias"?

Ag I would have to say that things must be much worse for the Times Leader because when they brought that paper here to Scranton for a fresh voice .... it did not do well at all ... it started out with a daily edition and ended up with a weekend edition ... now all of these people that are screaming that the paper is bias ... well they had their chance to get away from the Scranton Times ... but did they do it ...no they did not ... they claim to boycott it ... but hell they know everything that is in that paper ... so do they truly boycott it ... NO again ...
Some like apples ... some like oranges ... same thing if you ask me .... I like the times ... I purchase it daily ... I do not have it delivered as I like to go out and buy the paper .. but I do buy it every day ... and I enjoy reading it. If you don't like the times and think that they slant the news and are biased then don't buy it and don't read it .... it is a choice .... you can get your news from other sources as Ag pointed out in his post.
Chris Kelly has an opinion that differs from your opinion ... so right off the bat you call him a left wing kool aid drinking kook .... what if I take your statement and call you a right wing DD nut job ... because of that statement .... or say that you also are a kool aid drinker .... only you drink from Pilchesky's pitcher .... you wouldn't like that would you ...
There is a saying "Opinions are like a$$holes ... everybody has one" ... you don't have to agree or even like it ... you should however respect the fact that they are just as much entitled to their opinion as you are to yours.

I happen to agree.... Mr. Kelly and I have very very different views on politics generally speaking... (as it seems you do also) yet I read his column and apparently you do (and the kooks across the hall) so explain again to me how his "left wing kookiness" has damaged the readership numbers? Oh and by the way the second he says The Red Queen did something right you and the kooks across the hall will be signing his praises.....I think that's called bias also dear.
