It's no wonder the SSA bleeds green - no one is watching the store - here's a guy that...

helps himself to an SSA truck and goes to Rehab late in the morning on the taxpayer's dime and then disappears into West Scranton somewhere.

Don't know who this is, but he drove an SSA truck to this rehab facility this morning at 10:30ish while on the clock and stayed for an hour. I don't know if his boss knows it, but I do know that personal matters should be attended to on PERSONAL TIME. I called the SSA and talked to Bernice, the mayor's old secretary, and she indicated that its probably in their contract that they can take care of their personal business matters on company time, and with a company truck. I doubt that's true, but that's what she said. She was very defensive over the incident, acting insulted that I was questioning why this is allowed to happen.

I'm all for a guy fixing what's broken, go for it, but fix it on private time. How does a worker get comfortable enough to pull this off? And how often does this happen every day somewhere in the SSA. Is this why we're paying higher rates? Bad supervision?

...Snapping pictures of someone and pretty much accusing them of something without having all the facts in place? What if this persons rehab was ordered or a condition of furthering his employment with the SSA, then it would be reasonable that he is attending during work hours, and with his assigned company vehicle, no?

No matter what this person is in rehab for, his privacy should be respected, and not followed around by some psycho with a camera and a web-site with nothing better to do with his time. I'm pretty sure that viewing his picture on the internet, and reading all the wonderful comments made about him by the lunkheads across the hall are really accelerating his rehab, and helping him work through his problem!

Uh Oh!...Do I smell another frivolous lawsuit coming from the carpenter who has ordained himself Scranton's best and most ruthless Lawyer?!?!?!...Jimbu15.

I would say that this most definetly constitues harrassment ... and I would think that the lawsuit may not be filed by Joe ... but perhaps the person who is in this photo ... if that were me I would be after Joe for putting up a picture of me on the internet without my permission... I would also try and get him for stalking ... because that is what he is doing to this person ... he is stalking him plain and simple.

We have a right to know some things when it comes to people that are holding jobs in the public sector ... but there are lines that are being crossed here ... Joe has no right to know about this person and why they are going to rehab when they are going. Perhaps this man made arrangements to take his lunch at this time so that he could go to rehab ... but Joe would never think of that now would he.

Should not be doing what? Do you have any concrete evidence that this person is doing anything wrong or outside their duties for that day??

As I said in my post perhaps this person made arrangements to have an earlier lunch so that he may attend these meetings ... hmmmmm ... I personally do not see a problem with that ... but in the end it really is not our business ... I do believe that had Mr. Pilchesky been give the information that he was seeking that the employer could have been in a world of $hit for violating the HIPAA Act ... you have no right to this particular information.

I don't know why all those "Super-Geniouses" over there just don't put thier own ticket together and run for the offices they seem to have all the answers for fixing?! Scranton would be back on track in no time!!!
