Well if what is being said about him concerning his statement to not vote on any fireman issues I would say the above statement (as it pertains to the fireman's contract) is probably.....not so good.
Even if jack has to step down if the pension deal is true. They will still have the super majority because they still get to pick some one else.to take his place.

who says he has to step down wouldn't it just be more wise for him to forgo the extra pay? If he steps down he sure as hell won't have the money so why not?

You may thank god for the Doomers ... I however would like to see more respect from that podium ... so I do not thank God for the Doomers ... I used to attend meetings on occassion ... but they act as though they own City Council Chambers and god forbid you happen to have an issue that needs to be addressed ... because they let you know that you are not welcome. This has been my personal experience. So I do not thank god for the doomers. The doomers do not speak for me.
I am however hopeful that Council will do what is right and not what is popular because popular is not always right ... and as soon as that new council makes a decision that goes against the doomers way of thinking ... well it's going to be hell unleashed on them from that podium ... it's all sunshine and roses for the moment ... but it could turn ugly in a heartbeat.

I do not think that anything has changed as far as new people showing up ... they don't like it ... and they never will like it. But here is the thing ... I pay taxes and there are occassions that I feel the need to address council on issues that are important to me and to my neighborhood ... I should be able to do that without feeling like an intruder ... but I can't ... and that is plain wrong. Who do the doomers think they are ... and who asked them to speak for the entire city ... I don't recall ever wanting Fay Franus or Les Spindler representing me and the way I feel about the issues that are facing the city of Scranton. But I won't go on and on about that.

I do go to a meeting if I have something to say something to contribute ... I used to attend most of the meetings before the cameras were put in.
