Dave thought I would enjoy hearing the commercial so he called me and played the recording. I thought it was very funny and very effective.
It is no secret that I believe the current council majority does not act in the best interests of the city residents as a whole and should be replaced. They stonewall, they show no understanding of financial issues, and they hand out way too much money without any evidence that it can or will be repaid.
Either candidate for mayor would be fine with me. Neither showed any real potential at the debate. The "brain drain" answers were disturbing.
It's funny Glenn how the kids across the hall have a problem with people from outside of Scranton contributing in any way to Scranton political campaigns ... yet they do not seem to have a problem with you? Once again the DD double standard kicks in ... I say that if all of the out of town money were flowing to Gary DiBileo and Janet's team then they would have absolutely no problem ... and if all the out of town support were going to Gary DiBileo and Janet's team ... the kids across the hall would have no problem as you are clearly evidence of that ... aren't you?
If you don't mind me asking Glenn what is your vested interest in the political workings of the city of Scranton? I am just wondering because maybe the people who are supporting Chris Doherty feel the same as you do.

Oh another thought just came to me ... is your interest because you own property in Scranton ... as some of the "Out of Town" contributers do ... which makes them taxpayers of the city of Scranton which gives the a vested interest in how things are done here and who is running this city ... wanting someone who is going to move the city forward rather than let it linger with no plan for the future of Scranton... or is it something else that motivates you?

1. I once "owned" two rental properties (trust management) five years ago. Fixed them up, rented them out, and sold them when I liquidated the trust.
2. I have no problem with out-of-town (or any) contributors as long as there is full disclosure (which there is).
3. People supporting Chris Doherty probably feel exactly the same way I do. Unfortunately, the mayor is never challenged because of a council majority that demonstrates no independent thought. At least Mrs. Gatelli tried to highlight a record of achievement yesterday. Ms. Fanucci is simply not qualified to hold elective office.

As I said in the other thread, if Janet Evans achieves her supermajority, there is no further need for DD. It can either (a) wind down quietly or (b) accelerate to a point where it is simply ripped apart by outside forces.
Janet Evans Supermajority is A. Tom Yerke threads are B. My only purpose now is making sure people don't do anything to unintentionally sabotage Team Evans for the next five months. That will be the only subject of my posts.

Glen please cite one example of a posting over here that goes beyond some silly nonsense... and even comes close to the multitude of threads across the hall that call into question, the sexual preference of people, or call people of color an ethnic slur like the N-word, that accuse people (without any proof) of having children outside of their marrige and name the child, that attacks children verbally, .....ect....ect . Please please don't compare our tame website with the vileness that goes on over there unless you can show me proof of such a claim....If such posts exist they will most certainly be gone instantly.
