Are any other nurses in the SSD a crony political whore like Gatelli?

Obviously, the SSD is an entrepot of patronage. After all, a job in the SSD is most desired by Scranton's Irish because workers do not have to live in the city of Scranton.

Judy Gatelli makes 71,514. She's not there longer than 12 or 13 years.

Let's look at some other nurses with prominant last names. Are any of these people married to/related to powerful people?

Colleen Hartman makes 52000.
Suzanne Conaboy makes 70000.
Melissa McTeirnan makes 70000.
Patrica Cosgrove makes 45313.

Gatelli agreed with Sherry that something should be done to undermine the wages/benefits of fire and police to offset the strangle hold municipal government has on Scranton's taxpayers. Well, let's look at the Scranton School district.

JUDY GATELLI MAKES 70,000 A YEAR AND SHE DOES NOT EVEN WORK YEAR ROUND.

DOES JUDY EVEN HAVE AN R.N.? OR, IS SHE AN LPN.

These cronies make a ton of money doing a job a medical assistant can perform.

That Bitch is paid $70,000 a year to do what?

Last time I checked a school nurse calls student parents to tell them there child is sick. I am sure she is not preforming open heart surgery, as school nurse.

A nurse at a local hospital typically makes about 22 an hr. This includes ER nurses, nurse who work in the OR, and other highly skilled people who provide critical services. For the sake of argument, let's say they make 27. That's about 56,160, amusing they work no overtime. Judy Gatelli, crony political whore, makes over 70,000 and works perhaps 9 months of the year.

Judy probably has 3 or so weeks vacation, as well as generous amount of sick time.

Yeah, Jude. Let's throw stones at what fire and police make.

Judy, perhaps, had to take a few education courses. BTW, does she have an RN or is she an LPN?

A medical assistant can do her job.

Consider also her 12,500 from Council. She probably attends on average 40 meetings a week. Also, consider all the HONEST GRAFT that she gets on the side: jobs for her otherwise unemployable family, favors, etc.

Then, factor in the thousands the city spent to persecute Mr. Pilchesky and silence critics on her behalf.

JUDY GATELLI IS A PARASITE.

Not sure if she is RN or LPN but I do believe the whole LPN issue was quite a bit of a scandal in Scranton in past years. School nurses had to be RNs once upon a time with a fair amount of specialized schooling to boot. Not sure what the school nurse practice acts say anymore. I do know that in the staffing issues with nurses, they bent rules as Scranton does so well.

There actually is more to the job that is not seen on the surface (i'm in healthcare but not a school nurse, mind you). Generally, one nurse is stretched further than safe in most school districts. Can't honestly say what's happening in Scranton at this time. Lots of medical issues, meds and documentation involved with the nurses position. Quite a fair amount of liability involved too. And no, a medical assistant really can't do it all.

That all said, that salary makes me want to puke.

Jude is an LPN.  That is what caused the problems when Connors had his pals appoint her to that position.  Perhaps she forgets what she did to get into the spot where she was somehow 'important' enough to get the school appointment. 
Judy in case you forgot, I did not.  Just how close were you and the former state trooper who when he retired became very important in the county?
He has since vanished, why haven't you?

Is that salary based on a union contract, just like the public safety salaries would be? Why wouldn't the school district in a distressed city want to cut salaries. Something doesn't seem fair here.

Great point.

Scranton's city administration is distressed, not the school district. The SSD doesn't have a deficit, despite being run by grafting Irishmen.

When did Jude go to nursing school?

Doesn't a nurse loose their license if they don't practice for x amount of time? As far as I know, Judy never worked as a nurse anywhere else.

Judy worked for the DA's office, SSA, City Hall, and now the SSD.

Hey ducky...at least given them credit for consistency:  They consistently ignore any facts that don't support their often-times bizarre theories.

Yet another reason why Judy is a class act...she puts up with bull$hit from that crew that I'd never tolerate.

Look at it this way ducky...

...Judy sits in front of the city every week and speaker her mind for everyone to see and hear...good and bad.  Even if you don't agree with her, you have to admire the fact that she takes tough stands based on her convictions. 

Anti, on the other hand, sits in front of a computer in a dark room, hiding behind an anonymous posting name, throwing racist bombs.  He is the epitome of an Internet Tough Guy.

Duhhhhhhhhhhhhh helloooooo??? Judy is actually higher than an RN as she has her 4 year degree in nursing.   I know many, not a few, MANY RN's who are three year RN graduates.... which is perfectly fine. However, it requires more eduation and credits to achieve your bachelors degree in nursing. Damn could they at least try to research a subject before they go off like a bunch of idiots??
