If this is an accurate story then Rogan has finished himself in my eyes. The day you care what Pilchesky thinks about you is the day you stop having a conscience. That is the day I wipe you off my card as a viable candidate.
I received a call from Mr. Rogan who explained that his site was being edited for updating and his site builder had copied and pasted material from his 2007 site, which included the illegal immigration language. While the language was copied and pasted with other materials, it was not intended to be a part of the new Rogan site. However, while working on certain features of the site, the immigration language was viewable for a few hours until it was edited off the page an hour or so ago.
Mr. Rogan said he regrets the temporary exposure of the language at issue, but it was not intentional or meant to offend anyone. Further, he stated that he deeply respects the hard-working Hispanic and Latino community and dedicates his candidacy to representing fairly all citizens of the City of Scranton.
That's quite the turn-around...last time Rogan was warning us about the "great brown horde invading from across the border" now he "deeply respects the hard-working Hispanic and Latino community". Horse $hit if you ask me.

What a horrible thing to say about someone who is quite the contrary. All he said is that Illegal is Illegal. Most of you are educated. Better start getting use too him. I was of a differant impression of you good people. Sorry! I won't respond to this again. The city is divided enough.
I can't believe I'm saying this -- I agree with dave's comment above illegal IS illegal If you come to America via the proper channels, you should absolutely be able to enjoy the privileges that come with being a citizen. If you sneak across a border or come here with a student visa and put down permanent roots for nefarious purposes -- your ass should be shipped back from wence you came at the earliest possible moment.
If that is something Rogan said, well I agree with him, but he'll have to come up with a little more than that if he wants my vote.
Pat Rogan is potentially the best council candidate running in this year's primary.
He isn't a racist (DD-worthy low blow, there). The fact that he does not pay property taxes is not an issue with me, as that view is the equivalent of supporting a poll tax. He has turned out to be a very good speaker on a wide variety of issues. He is willing to discuss political differences. He does not subscribe to many of the views on DD, and has said so publicly. As for the illegal immigration issue, I agree with the famous intellectual Sonny Bono, who once said (correctly), "What's to talk about? It's illegal." And the Democratic Party is going to do everything in its power to make him lose.
Glenn my old friend, You are oh so correct about the Dem party and Patrick. It started 2 wks ago. The double faces have come to the surface and think they are going undetected. We know them all. While not knowing whom I was, I heard this women say this morning at Chick's Diner that Janet is the Bitch and shes taking those puppies with her to victory. I had to laugh, pay and leave. David
Well we here at PD respect all things that are said by the ladies at Chicks ...
Ok I apologize for the racist remark against Mr. Rogan ... I guess I just lumped him right in there with Joe Pilchesky who is clearly a racist ... and since Joe is saying that Mr. Rogan contacts him about getting the word out on the mistake on his webpage ... I lumped him right up there with Joe Pilchesky ... birds of a feather you know ...
So I apologize to Mr. Rogan for that remark ... it is My Opinion that he should rely less on Joe Pilchesky ... I think it would get him further in this election.
Why would the Democratic Party back him? Did he or did he not just become a Dem so he could run in this election ... is he the one who was a republican? Why would the Dems jump in there to help him when they have life long Dems running for the very same office. Am I right about this or am I thinking of someone else? If I am wrong again I apologize to Mr. Rogan.

What Rogan did in the last election is to pander to fears that some have about illegal immigrants. In my book casting fingers at "those people" (and "those people" could be any group, btw) at best makes me question both his judgment and his integrity. At worst it makes me wonder whether or not he is in fact a racist. History is full of very evil people who got their start by pointing fingers at "those people". No, I am not saying that Rogan is "evil", but what I am saying is that he put himself in some mighty bad company. The fact that he apparently has softened his position in this area only proves one thing: a handler was smart enough to tell him "give the anti-illegal thing a rest:".
Now do I think this country should deal with illegal immigration? Sure. But when last I checked, it's the Federal Government that is responsible for border security, not Dave Elliot and the SPD. This is not a business that Scranton's government should be concerned with.
Unless I have the opportunity to hear this guy speak and he really blows my socks off, then I'll not vote for him. All I know is this: in his last campaign, he proved that he's willing to use fear-mongering to get people to vote for him. For me, that's a tough thing to get over.

I honestly do not undertand the message that David was trying to convey to me ... does anyone understand the "soup" reference ... percs David ... well that didn't tell me much. I still think something is bothering you ... because you were making a bit of sense with your posts and well now ... I'm just not getting the message you are trying to convey to me. You don't have to talk about it but I just thought .... anyway ... someone explain this soup thing to me.

"percs" may be a reference to percocet, a perscription pain medication. I think it's essentially the same thing as Oxycodone, also known a "Hillbilly Heroin".

Maybe he is on them due to the "serious surgery" he had.....of course they must work like crazy since very shortly after telling us about his "serious surgery" I saw him hauling and screwing up those big ass team signs. Weird!
David ... you do know that after breast surgery ... one of the very worst thing that you could have been doing is lifting ... you do know that don't you? I am speaking frome experience on this one.

It was breast surgery not an organ transplant thank you very much.
It was a "serious surgery" according to your post. I stated you were hauling big ass signs around shortly after posting that piece of information. Please tell me where my comment was inaccurate.
I am trying hard to avoid answering your ingnorant a$$. I will for the last time. A 4x8 sign weighs maybe 1+1/2 pds. Tie straps less than a ounce. Hows the pooch?

I can see you are trying hard to avoid answering my questions, and good job you still haven’t. Did I say the signs were heavy? No! I said they were big and they are ……I said I saw you hanging them shortly after telling us you had “serious surgery” and I did. So again I ask…what did I post that was factually incorrect? Sorry… I do think you are ignorant however not because of your misspelled word. I have thought you ignorant for many years based completely on your behaviors.
Hows the pooch?
You are pretty focused on dogs recently you must be spending a lot of time with Fay.
