Doherty jams Brazil's party at Gannon's with 100+ faithful loyalist - strong showing Only a week after Frank Brazil, an endorsed candidate for school director, openly came out in support of non-endorsed Mayor Doherty by introducing the mayor at a party at Gannon's attended by less than 100 people, the mayor has returned the favor by filling Gannon's to the brim with his own supporters.  It was a SRO party with more people lined up trying to get in. Nothwithstanding the fact that Gannon's packs in a nice crowd anyway, popular for its good food and service, there were quite a few dem faces there in support of Brazil, from Rosie Novembrino to Jimmy Connors to every one of Doherty's cabinet members and crony hires to the school district crony crowd.  All in all it was a nice showing in support of Frank Brazil.  Actually, Doherty and Rosie sat together in a booth most of the time discussing whatever

I have been reading DD and they definetly love to lower the attendance at Chris Doherty Rallies.  They say that the attendance was under 100 and if I look back at the posts on DD I think that they estimated the number for the Gannon Rally at 55-70 people attended ... well I know that there were more than that there I was at that Rally ... I know the guys who threw that shindig and well they sold 350 tickets ... did they all attend ... no ... but there were a good 200 or better coming and going all day long ... and they attribute this to Gannon's steady business ... well these rallies are held on Sunday and Gannons is closed on Sunday's so it is a private party ... it's not the regular crowd.  It is all rally!
