I just got a call from a friend of mine, seems as though this sign wars is now somehow branching out to the School Directors Race.
Seems as though Christopher Phillips and Brian "Dizzy" Jeffers are pressuring people in Minooka about who's sign goes up on certain properties. As it goes I guess that there was a Bob Lesh for School Director sign on a fence near the Belina Bar (formerly Judges Bar), which I think is owned by Nate Barret who is running for School Board. Well Chris Phillps and Dizzy Jeffers put the pressure on to have the sign removed as they did not feel that it was proper for that sign to be next to Nate BarretT's Bar.
Now from what I understand this had been a location that has always had a Lesh sign on the property since the first time that Mr. Lesh ran for office, who are these two guys to put pressure on anyone who has a sign on their property. You know what enough is enough and what are these people so afraid of that they are running around putting pressure on people to take down signs?
I am outraged at this, and yes before anyone asks I am a good friend of Mr. Lesh. But even if I were not, I would still be outraged at this behavior.
Amazing...utterly amazing. People get worked up by pieces of cardboard, but then again this is Scranton, where politics is the most popular contact sport.

I don't understand it either Ag ... I think it was doomers who said that signs don't vote. I have to say this that ... I don't particularly care what sign my neighbor put in his/her yard. The craziest one I have seen so far is on Main Avenue around Parker Street. There is a Doherty and a DiBileo sign in the same yard ... I kind of thought that was pretty funny!
Another thing that just ran through my mind is this ... if someone called me up or paid me a visit and told me that I couldn't put a sign up on my own property ... well I would ask them what signs that they want me to put up and ... I would put up all but the ones they approve of.
