Why is Chief Elliott in the middle of the latest Civil Service Mixup ? Something about a Cop unable to take a Promotional Test ? Any facts on this incident ? Rules are very simple and No grey areas.
1. Test date scheduled and Advertised.
2. Sign up and fill out necessary paperwork, with attached check or money order.
3. Show up on Test date and provide proper Identification, and take the Written Test.

Whats the confusion with this setup ? it has worked for thousands of tests (except the exam scam era). Either the candidate has followed the set rules and is eligible to test, or they have not followed the proper set rules and are not eligible. Lets see how much tax payer money this takes to figure out. Where is the Civil Service Commision ? Aren't they empaneled to make these decisions ? maybe they are too busy smoking their big cigars and not being consistant with thier decisions. They are very lucky DOherty is the Mayor.
