Ok ... now maybe it's just me ... but this is rediculous ... there is an ongoing thread concerning a fire on St. Ann's St. Although I think the conditions that this woman is living in are disgusting ... (DD Thread: Fire at St. Ann's St.)

I live down the street from this woman and know her quite well. While walking my dog today, I ran into her outside... her car was covered in eggs and she was cleaning them up. She said that last night and the night before someone egged her car (You do know that last night was Halloween ... don't you?)-- the first time in the 5 years she's been living there. She also said that hers was the only car on the street targeted. Very strange, if you ask me. Sounds personal. I think that these childish tactics by grown people need to stop. There are children starving yet these people are using eggs that can be made into a meal to deface people's property. (Now who are you saying stole the food out of starving children's mouths? How do you know that it wasn't kids ... I'm just asking ... and how do you know that this was the only vehicle egged ... did you go around and look at all the vehicles? You people crack me up!) I also asked her about the stove situation... she said she refuses to cook off of the replacement stove because it is so filthy inside. (Now I know what you all will think ... Lus is cruel ... but did this woman ever hear of EasyOff ... its a good tool when an oven is in need of cleaning) She told me that the next-door neighbor who helped put the replacement stove in the apartment told her that Mitchell sold him the old stove and that he was able to get it to work and it works fine. (Well as evidenced in this thread ... we can see that it is Joe Pilchesky's fault that this woman now must look daily at a filthy stove that she will not use when all she had to do was to clean up the old stove which she was used to ... Way to go Joe ... now how about getting over there with a can of EasyOff and cleaning up that poor woman's stove.)

I have to wonder why this woman who is so very unhappy in this situation stays? Look for a new apartment ... there are many situations that would possibly be better for her ... McDade Apts, Mulberry Towers ... the Apartments on Adams Ave ... those highrises for the elderly ... cheaper rent ... and they will fix things immediately for her ... also the added comfort of knowing that someone will come around and check on you ... I think there is another elderly highrise on Jackson St ... so many options ... get on the list and move out.
