Check out this little diatribe from a bottom feeder at JOey LAnD. They seem a little upset that JOey gave them a stern PM about staying on task and leaving the other bottom feeders alone.

Many are, however, falsely prepared to advance their own opinions through "posters" on an internet website designed to show no names, no facts, no substance, no.....(you get the picture-or, perhaps you don't)
I have seen many gossip websites. I thought I did, until I came across yours...this! The motherlode!
We could get into "freedom of speech" and all the rest of what is taught to law studentswho don't even understand what it's become, but we won't.
To use a "freedom" for the sake of it being a "freedom" is to lose the liberty of its original meaning.
Hap-hazzard political web-sites, in this day and age, are the tools of those notready for the political cutting edge,yet comfortable with the safety-zones of posting, "anonymously" as they harbor some sort of political slight.
God Bless the 1st Amendment....I think.

I don't know what's worse, the barely comprehensible posting by DET Shockley or the response from Pilchesky. It must be something in the water at DD, because few of them are actually capable of expressing simple, direct thoughts.

that happens to e my contention as well. after reading this forum for a bit I feel like there may be a few people posting under numerous names in order to create more buzz around their issue.

I came here when I heard the admoin was throwing around a word he would never say to my face in 100 years. I am an old man now, 69 to be exact. I am a Black man that has lived in scranton his whole life. Of course I feel therea re things that need to be done to improve our city. I heard that there was a forum where people were sharing ideas. I never checked it out. Then i heard that forum was got a bit racial. I checked it out but was not compelled to repsond.

Now I am a bit confused to what was the hype. Maybe 12 people or so, talking amongst themsleves about things. the issues that matter get clouded behing garbage and gissip. Soo long as well.....Talking on here is a waste of energy.

This "motherlode" is directly responsible for exposing more politcal corruption than any other type or kind ofmedia in the area.

Why not, you're enjoying it right now. What free speech is not here is unnecessary attacks upon other posters where a counterpoint is justified. Go make someone else's site a name calling debacle in the flavor of your choice. I don't like your attitude.

Help yourself to the political history of the fall of Robert Cordaro when you have some free time.I might be mentioned in there somewhere. Something to do with winning in the Supreme Court, if I recall correctly. The other influences upon the political landscape this site has imposed are too numerous to mention. Compare the factual information posted here that never made it into the Times or other media and you'll retract those words. I've always said that you have to be able to run with these people to be able to effect change, and so it goes, similarly,that some posters can't run with other posters so they attack them personally with no idea who they are. If the shoe fits, wear it.
Every poster should know his intellectual limitations as you now know yours.

I wish that were true. I was told by one poster that I would self destruxct with an attitude that nothing is given, everything is earned.

I think having survived 69 years proves that wrong!. Organizing folks has always been a challenge. I wish you well if your heart is in the right place. If you are only out to hurt people out of spite, trust me, i was there. I did it and now i regreat it every last day. I was a bad person for a loing time. I only wish now i would have known the hurt i caused. Do the right thing, at all costs.

THE WHEELS COME OFF IN 2008.


Sh!tforbrains' prediction seems to be comng true, all within the last couple weeks, but not in the way he had it imagined. Let's see how fast the rest of the wheels come off beginning in mid-July.

...Porn is the most biggest money making business on-line
...The Jerry Springer Show at one time was the highest rated talk-show on daytime TV
...The Spice Girls existed
...The Ray Lyman YouTube videos have gotten 70,000+ views
...If shown on-line, the sex tape of Mini-Me would easily draw 5 million "unique" hits

My point? Pilchesky confuses the "roadkill" fascination people have with DD with that of actual credibility.

Now this is only an opinion ... but I do think that this DET SHOCKLEY character is more than likely another Joe persona that was created to cause turmoil and then when he begs out ... slams Joe a bit ... it's an opportunity for the minions to show their love and devotion to Joe ... the narcissistic side of Joe needs this every now and then ... take notice that this happens every couple of months!

Ag and Lus excellent posts.

Ag, so according to JOey he averages about 8000 hits a day which isn't unrealistic cosidering that about 7999 got there by accident. What really counts is how long they stayed and if they accessed other pages/links within DD from the page they gained access to the site.

As for the number of views the postings get, that is totally bogus. JOey has it set up to count if people refresh the page it counts as a view even if no new content was added. Rumour has it that a bunch of DaU students pump up count views to get JOey to respond and then they stop, they also pump up views of totally meaningless posts, and they ensure that the resident racist wack job Anti gets at least 10,000 views on his posts. Apparently by the looks of it the rumour isn't too far off.

Lus, I believe you're on to something with the every other month someone coming along to rally the JOey LAnD DOlts. I also love the posts that come from one of JOey's personas that tell JOey to check his PMs or MailBox for info and JOey ususally responds that they can't publish that, he'll do it in good time or thanks them for the explosive documents and information.

It's like the high school version so and so passed a note to so and so about so and so.

Last but not least, I finally watched a council meeting on TV to see what the big hub bub is about if Scranton Today goes away. First thing I noticed is that they're using just 1 camera. The resolution on this camera looks better and the audio sounds improved. However, the LOaDs and other performers at the microphone are the same. I could only stomach watching it for about 35 minutes, because it was the same old, same old. Not one person spoke about any legitiment city business. I could care less if the cameras stayed or not.

That's what I have been saying for quite some time now ... the cameras being in chambers ... in my opinion only stop the productivity of the meetings ... these people go to the podium and play to the camera ... they don't really care about the business of this city ... they only care that they make what they believe to be intelligent remarks ... meanwhile those of us watching say ... "What did he/she say? They didn't really just say that!"

They get up there and they are so very disrespectful ... and then when a council member ... usually Sherry sometimes Judy ... calls them on their remarks ... they balk about being treated unfairly and about the lack of respect that the council members have for the speakers ... nothing productive comes from a meeting ... because these people go there to engage the council members in turmoil ... almost as if someone is paying them to do so ... I just don't get it ...

I like you Preacher must say that I don't care if the cameras stay or go ... but I know that I lean strongly towards them going ... then maybe ... just maybe this council can get back to conducting business
