It's hard to look at that sweet Grandmother look Rose has going for her and comprehend the role she had played in extremely questionable conduct as relates to accountability to the taxpayers. Her office was supposed to be the watchdog, not the lapdog. So, it's time to look past the image of a grandmother and define Rose for who she's been and who she is.

To begin with, what are her business affiliations? Anyone? Who works in the admin who may be a family member?

Rose has been flying under the radar for over 20 years. It's about time that the radar found her and her accomplishments. Or should I say lack of accomplishments? She's as disgraceful as Kenny, if not more so.

I'm sorry but how dare they .... one of these people that they do this to needs to sue Pappa ... and I'm not one to throw that word around lightly ... but what the hell is it going to take to get the man to stop ... is he going to send the goons out to stalk Roseanne like he did with Judy and Sherry? I'm sorry but she is not a young woman and they will scare the crap out of her .... come on goons ... isn't she the one who provided Pappa with the answers when he wrote his right to know letters?????

This is the reason that one day we will have the DD'ers and the Doomers running our city ... think I'm crazy ... well they will be the only ones throwing their proverbial hats into the ring to take these positions ... because what reasonable human being wants to put their entire family under the microscope .... because as soon as you say something that goes against how they (DD) feel ... well what do you find ... an Anything ans Everything thread on the website to put everything you and your family have ever done or said up for the world to see. That is truly sad and who would want to put themselves up for that .... nobody that I know.

I wonder how Joey and Joannne would feel if we had an anything and everything thread on them ... or one of their posters? Sometimes you need a dose of your own medicine ... maybe we should begin to do this ... maybe not ... but we could pick our person of the month and dig up every little crappy thing they have ever done ... or just make **** up as they do across the hall ... I don't think that they would like it much would they?

Pappa and Mamma Pilchesky and all the little Pilcheskyiates would hate that ...

Ozzie Quinn exposes an already sick family to a house contaminated with Mold .... and expects them to be happy about Habitat letting them live in the home ... although he would not (thank God) turn over the home to the family ... even after they were paying for it ... What a good and righteous man he is .... and then he gave the Smith Family more chances to waste Habitat money .... giving a black eye to the Habitate of Humanity Lackawanna County ... he single handly reduced this to a College Club ... now run by "Da U" Could that be the reason he hates "Da U" ... they now run the Habitate as a club .... hmmmm .... thank you Ozzie .... anyone else feel free to jump in!

This was a long time coming. I guess Ms Novembrino didn't respond quickly enough to Pilchesky's "Right To Know" letters fast enough.

Anyway, this does beg the following question: where is "the line" when it comes to a public official? Specifically, where does appropriate criticism end and witch-hunting/personal attacks begin?

Fair-Game
Personally, I think that official acts of elected officials are fair-game for criticism. For example, as an elected School Board Member, Janet Evans allowed her name to be on a teacher eligibilility list and to come up for a vote, knowing that School Board members make the final teacher hiring decisions. In my mind that's wrong. In other instances, I think it would be illegal.

In the case of Ms Novembrino, I think her on-the-job performance has been spotty over the years. Yes, she sounds like a wonderful woman, but I also get the impression that she relies on the "we don't have the resources" phrase all too often whenever a question as to her oversight responsibilities come up. So by all means I think it's fair to talk about her official actions.

Off-Limits
Family - We elected individuals to a position, not their family members. However, to the extent that immediately family members make themselves publicly & personally involved in the offical actions of the elected official...such as David Evans intercepting and reading Janet Evans' city business emails...then (and only then) do I think they become fair game for criticism.

In the case of Ms Novembrino, I think her family shouldn't be a part of any discussions about her performance.

Off-The-Job Activities - What an elected official does with their time "off the clock" is their own business. As long as any conflict-of-interest rules are followed (with, by the way, an presumption of innocence), then I think an elected official should be free to do what they want with whomever they want.


The bottom line is that this is Joe proving once again that he's more about personal attacks, gossip mongering and driving web-site traffic...all self-serving activities...than he is anything else. 'Community Activist'? My cat is more of a community activist than Joe.

However...Mrs. Novembrino has a lot of questions to answer. She appears to know little or nothing about the city finances and has lately shown almost no interest in performing the duties of her job. If she is too old to handle criticism related to her performance in office, she should resign. I respectfully submit that the time has come.

Plus, her RTK responses are filled with bad grammar, misspellings, and outright misuse of words. Mortal sin.

Joe will hit a brick wall on this one. I don't believe Mrs. Novembrino will serve out her term, so I doubt most people will want to pile on in any way out of respect for her personally and also due to her age. But like I said, I think she's ready to retire.

I'm also not expecting proper grammar, correct spelling, and properly used words in that thread, are you, Glen?

I wouldn't give a sh!t enough to care if I spelled my own name correctly if that tool sent me a letter. I can't imagine she actually feels threatened enough by him to bother with formalities, either. Well we didn't think that they were going to leave her family out of this did we? I knew that they would not ... Her daughter has nothing at all to do with the way her office is run ... I'm sure that they are trying to dig up the dirt on her granchildren as we speak ... they are low ... I would love to hear from Glenn as to what his opinion is on that being included in that thread? Still say they serve a higher purpose.

I agree. If she didn't do her job right thats fine.. Nobody even Doherty deserves to be abused because you don't agree with them. She has been there 20 years for a reason.

Summit Township Supervisor Chris Griffen - info wanted

I'm hearing some chatter that this supervisor may be very much like Tom Yerke of Covington. I'm interested in any information regarding the activities and conduct of Chris Griffen as Township Supervisor.

Is he profiting from allowing people to dump on private property?Seems these supervisors think they're always flying under the radar. Not at DD if they show up as a blimp on the corrupt radar screen, which Griffen has just done. maybe he's a good guy, maybe not. Let's find out.
