Stacey Brown can you help me out with this one, do professional journalists usually get the Legislative District Wrong when they attempt to slam someone on their blog?

Retired professional journalist Joe Talamini:
In the 115th Congressional District, Frank Andrew Shimkus, an incumbent, was knocked off the ballot when he tried to snooker the electorate with a phony claim that he made an innocent error in filing his paperwork. Shimkus was caught in an out and out lie, yet chose to bull-- his way into a write-in campaign to defeat challenger Kevin Murphy, a former Scranton city councilman. Shimkuss win in his previous election was questionable when the former newsman, and minister, gained the nod due to questionable last-minute entries into the campaign.Murphy, who also carries some baggage, i.e. his endorsement by party officials and previous experiences, now must face Shimkus in the general election. Shimkus, running as a Republican (an untenable task in this area), will probably siphon off hundreds of votes from the Democrat and make the race interesting, to say the least. The Democratic machine will show its true colors in this upcoming election in November, and were betting a double-cross is in.

Maybe I haven't been keeping up on current events, but Frank ran in the 113th District!

Had to take point this out from another Scranton Hate site.

I believe that Mr Talamini is in the cigarette vending/distribution business, based on comments he made during the ill-fated smoking ban. Real paragon of virtue. My my book, people who earn a living soley by selling tobacco products are right below porn-distributors in life's foodchain...as no one ever got lung cancer from watching "Romancing The Bone".

As for his posting, it's just more Matt Drudge-wannabe stuff. Yawn.

And that's the one word that made me think that he is not and never was a journalist ... if a journalist wants to be take seriously I do not think that they would ever use the word snooker!

I think Joe should stick to fighting Doug Miller and the smoking ban. I would find it hard to justify paying the $48 subscription fee when I could just laugh at his ignorant nonsensical rantings online. I don't think the Times will be competing any time soon against good ol Smoken Joe!

Do you think maybe Granma is his Ghostwriter???? Just a thought here ... I wouldn't want to snooker anyone into thinking he didn't write that himself!

Joe used Snooker again:

Wednesday, April 30, 2008

FANUCCIPULLSAFANUCCI

Typical of Fanuccis antics, she overstepped the bounds of propriety, this time, and allowed herself to be snookered.

Is Talamini actually a "journalist", or merely some dude with a blog? The two are miles apart. Any crock can have a blog.

What is this guy's readership? Site hits are not indicative of readership. By readership, I mean people consistently coming back to read his "column" on a weekly basis, and finding something useful or informative therein. We can discount the one off glances for novelty's sake. Like the Scranton Post, "The People Of Scranton's Newspaper", which still has the fire from early April as it's headline, I don't think many people actually take Talamini terribly seriously.
