RE: IMPORTANT NOTICE: Taxpayers' group having a debate on April 3rd Unlike Ken Smith, he's not going to be on the ballot. Why not? A debate held by the taxpayer's association is like looking forward to a man being interrogated by his mother regarding the theft of bicycle. The taxpayer's association is soft in the belly.Even if it doesn't want to be, it is. Nothing to look forward tothere.
"Soft in the belly"? Oh, this is coming from someone who fantasizes about being a modern-day Viking, pillaging the local political landscape. Gee, maybe Joe thinks they should break out the tire irons (afterall, that always worked for Joe when he had to beat the occasional sleeping drunk). Anyway, if the Taxpayer's association is "soft in the belly", then what is Joe after failing all those countless times to appear in front of City Council to deliver various legal papers? While I don't hold the members of the Taxwhinners Association in very high esteem, I will say this...AT LEAST THEY SHOW UP!

Well Ag if you ask me ... I think Joe Pilchesky is softer in the belly than Ozzie Quinn ... Ozzie at the very least shows up to speak at the very public Council meetings ... Joe promises his followers an appearance and what does he do ... he does NOT show ... he promises websites that will take on the PSP ... blah blah blah ... and never starts those websites ... he promises a News venue that will surpass the TT ... and I don't think that he ever even wrote an article for it as of this date ... there are so many things that he promised his followers that he never brought to fruition ... now ... he has the F()cking nerve to call Ozzie Quinn and the Taxpayers association "Soft in the Belly" ... that makes me laugh!
Joe Pilchesky is nothing more than a JOKE in this town.

My point exactly Lus, but stated better than I could have. I think the Taxpayer's Association could be an effective watchdog for city/county government, but instead it's basically a Doherty-bashing forum. I'm all for bashing Doherty when warranted...such as when it comes to settling the Police and Firefighter contracts...but not for every bad thing that happens in Scranton. The fact that Pilchesky has taken a shot at them probably means that there is some small crumb of moderation left in them, which isn't a bad thing.
As for Ozzie Quinn, I give him credit for being well prepared with facts/figures/example, for making the best use of his speaking time, for dressing professionally when speaking to council and, first and foremost, for just showing up. That's 100% more than what Pilchesky does.
Oh, and speaking of bull$hit empty promises, here are the new sites that Pilchesky promised...
