I guess I thought this place was just an informal gathering of people, like myself, that share a certain hatred for pilchesky and what he represents. I did not know how hardcore this site really is. Needing valid emails and tracking IP addresses. Normally you first try to get away without giving an email, for the sake of spam. But then this thread pops up calling me out. It seems like it would scare off a lot of would be posters on this site.
I remember the first board pilchesky created, when there were no rules, no bannings, and you didnt need to sign up. Now that was a good time.
Welcome to PD DaMarvine...I hope you have enjoy the time you spend posting here.
I love this site...it provides a rational balance of thought that is scarily missing from Pilchesky and his merry band of goons. We don't always agree here, but that's ok...you see, here you can actually disagree and you will not get banned. All we ask is that you abide by our very reasonable rules.
As for checking the email addresses & IP addresses, it's the only way we can make sure that, among other things, we don't have the same person posting under multiple personalities. That may be ok at DD (in fact we know it's done there quite a bit), but it's not here.

DaMarvine ... as Ag stated we are not here to pump up numbers ... that is the main reason ... and to date we have only banned one person and that was due to the fact that he continually broke the rules of conduct.
Post here about your dislike for anything and Ag said we may not agree with you ... and we will tell you about it ... and you may then not like or agree with what we say ... but you will not be banned for it ...
Pilchesky tells everyone that we here are nothing more than a bunch of Doobies (mayor lovers) but that's not the case ... some are ... and some don't like him ... and that's ok ... but what we do not do here is post rumors and innuendo ... we do not attack the family members of elected officials ... we do not threaten people ...
Yes we have rules ... but they are pretty simple ... more than one person enforces them and this site does not soley belong to me ... even though I started it ... We have moderators who have been with this site from the very beginning and they are trusted to make decisions.
If you have any problems please feel free to contact any one of the moderators or myself and we will take care of the problem. This is a democracy here at PD not like the DD ditatorship. You will occassionaly be asked to take part in polls ... to vote on important issues ... such as bannings (although we have not had the need to do that in such a long time).

I would like to thank you for the chance to join the board. I have been reading and have been impressed with lack of hate, bad vibes, and all the name calling on the other board. You guys bring facts, discuss them and do not turn them into something else. Plus ya have fun! I hope I can bring something to the board. Again thanks.
