Instead we pay more tax and get less . [SPECIFICALLY WHICH TAXES is Granma paying more of? Funny how they never specify that...] While certain people get high wages paid cell phones, many use city vehiclesand we the tax payer pays the bill. [Ahhhhh yeah....ok...it's wrong for city officials to have cell phones and use city vehicles on city business? Hello, Granma...] By telling the truth it is not degrading. Bringing the truth out about people that are running for office is only trying to help the citizens decide to vote for a better person for office. [Yes, this is why Mayor Doherty has been re-elected twice.] This in return helps everyone to get what we pay for. Many people keep voting for the same people. Some people vote the same one's in because it is easier, than you have the one's that get their favors over and over. [I have never gotten a favor from any politician in Scranton, but yet I have voted for Mayor Doherty in both elections. So much for that theory Granma Einstein! Speaking of favors, will Granma be pressing Gary for the police officer job for her son, or is he already too old for the job? Just wondering...] Now we are bringing the truth out. [Truth???? Oh, like the TRUTH about the Mayor getting a job in Harrisburg? The TRUTH about FBI investigations into the Mayor that don't exist? The TRUTH about the ACLI monitoring city council meetings? The TRUTH about how Sam Patilla was going to "own this city" after his suit? Should I continue? Anyway, Maybe Granma can tell us which TRUTH she is referring to.] And we will keep bringing the truth out. [Granma, never begin a sentence with a conjunction. Joe should have "edited" that one for clarlity, but then again if he did, it wouldn't have that "Granma charm" about it.] That is why we are called names, [As Lus says, "pot, meet kettle".] blamed for anything that happens. [Oh, like blaming Mayor Doherty for a suicide and for the death of a fireman?] Many don't like the truth, (It may stop a good thing for them). We at DD are not afraid of the truth. Call us whatever you like , we will not stop searching for the truth and bringing it out. Because,,,,, UNITED WE STAND !



So there you have it, Granma is feeling her Wheaties. The only problem is that she apparently doesn't actually read what she posts, hence asinine comments about DD being blamed for everything while simultaneously blamming Mayor Doherty for everything.

You gotta love this...[comments by me in dark red]. On the positive side, I think (note I said think) I understand Granma's point here, and it's a good one actually, but she does make it in a way that only Granma could execute.

You could very easily tell KK has either a good job or is not anywhere near being a senior citizen. I find this holds true good for you KK. [Who are these big mouths?]They have nothing else to worry about except other peoples business. They have been taken care of along with their families and taken care of good. [Oh, like the Evans family, right? There's some feeding at the public troth for you.]While the senior citizen standing in line to keep their homes wonder if they will be able to stand in line next year to be able to keep their homes. Shout out how seniors stand in line early to pay their taxes. Because before you know it youmay be standing in the same line feeling the same as they are now. Lose a spouse, have high medical bills lose a job, unable to work because of illness and many more good reasons. And then lose your home you worked so hard for. Maybe more bridges should be put in for seniors to live under as they lose their homes because people are getting rich over thier loss. KK when you get dry behind the ears and come down to reality maybe then you can shout your mouth off. Untill then just hope and pray you never end up in one of those seniors places. Time moves fast. And for that matter you don't have to be a senior to have bad times fall on you. Many young families are trying to save their homes also. Life changes in a second. And no one is special , it can happen to anyone at any time. If your so lucky now to have a know it all mouth, COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS !We never know what tomarrow will bring.

Now I don't know if it's just me, but the street where they televised the parade from was plain discusting . Holes sunken manhole crackes in the pave , patched . They were just lucky no one fell. And Doherty just kept hurling around Hillary. As tho everything was great. It seemed Hillary didn't even care if Doherty was there making a fool of himself . Other wise it was a beautiful parade. I haven't been in town for a while, if the rest of the streets are like that, Hillary was probably wondering when are we going to start restoring the pride ? They swept the streets, businesses washed windows and they painted strips of green down the center of the raggy streets. As the saying goes. You "Can't shine _ _ _ _ . " :::

It's a funny thinq you mention this Qlenn. After I submitted the above post I did go back to double-check how the old qirl spells her name. Instead of "editing for clarity/spelling", I decided I'd rather leave is as is because in the qreat biq world outside dee dee dot com - I spelled it correctly. Thouqht maybe it would qive the old qirl a heads up without rubbinq her nose in it.

(Damn, it's HARD to spell all those words with a Q instead of a G. I don't know how she does it.)

For all we know, Granma might spend hours coming up with her unique form of prose. I can picture an older lady hunched over a computer, police scanner running in the background, thinking to herself "Quilty, yeah, that will throw the bastards off".

Scenario 1: Girlfriend had two thoughts going at once and couldn't figure out which one joe would prefer.

Scenario 2: She lost control of her 'scroll' key.

Scenario 3: janet (in her infinite wisdom and sense of fair play) wrote out a complete thought for our granma, but the old girl thought she'd pretty it up with a few of her own -isms.

Scenario 4: Same $hit, different day. Nothing out of whack on Hollow Ave.
