RE: Doherty kicks off mayoral campaign a tad early

He is as strong as ever? A two term mayor of a rust belt city running for number three is strong? Why isn't he running for Congress? Is he going to be outclassed by Lou Barletta, a mayor from a city of 20 thousand residents?

If he is so strong, why no photo ops with "Fast Eddie" here in Scranton?
If he is so strong, why are city hall insiderstalking about how worried he is? Doherty himself doesn't even believe he's strong.

PS. - to all you union scabs who went to support Doherty at his kickoff, why not try working instead of ass kissing? Too bad there wasn't a way to prevent you all from enjoying the pay raises when the unions are eventually victorious.

and this:

Even if it is conceded the place was "packed", how do you explain Doherty's obvious political failure going for a third term as mayor of Scranton? Is that the extent of his political ambition? He is only running for mayor again, because he is a political PARIAH.

Doherty can look forward to a future like that of Jimmy Connors, roaming the streets hoping forsmile and wave from citizens. The difference isConnors can sing "Johnny B. Goode" and all Doherty can do is tap dance...........

Gramma also chimed in with this gem:

I don't know where you were sonny, but there was no great crowd at the little get together on Washburn Street. There were even parking spots available in the area and those of us who have attended events there know that even with a moderate crowd there is no parking in the entire area.
Are you sure you weren't at Barletta's party?

Who knows how many were at this beer bash? At $25.00 a ticket and all the beer you can drink I don't think many from that crew would pass that up. One poster tries to make us believe they went out to the front bar to buy. Who are they kidding? The ones that are boasting how many were there, probably doesn'teven remember who or how many werereally there. Then again who cares who or how many were there ? No big deal. For that crowd just throw a keg out on the floor and you can figure out who will be there.

So will the same comment also be true if the clairol queen runs for city council again? That will be her third term, right? Anyone really think she is going to quit her self -appointed school teacher's job and the nice retirement*which is right around the corner to be the mayor? (assuming she could win which isn't likely)Ya right! LOL

I know..I know you wouldn't know from her camp, as it looks like she uses her college graduation pictures when she runs for office, but trust me the babe is close to retirement age.

I think it could be Granma, it's just that she's trying extra hard to sound coherent. Maybe her son...the one Gary DiBileo promised to make a police officer...is helping her (actually I don't think that's the case...I just wanted to mention the Gary D/son/cop thing for old time's sake). Guaranteed that she will get sloppy as she begins to post more frequently. Now she's just testing out the waters.

Welcome back Granma! We will be watching.

She used the words "available" and "moderate" correctly.
Maybe a surrogate, but that can't be our original Granma.

joe probably pulled another stunt like he did with Piccolino. He told the old girl he'd post under her name and make her look good.

I only have one more thing to say ... sure we speculate on who the posters across the hall are ... and I just don't know about the rest of you ... but I don't really want to know who they are as I may know some of them and I would be sorely disappointed in them and so sure it's a little game to try and figure it out ... but I don't really want to know ... because I wouldn't be able to ever look at them the same way if they turned out to be friends of mine ... you know what I mean?
