Ever take notice as to how many avatars at JOey LAnD are hosted on the DD server? Makes you wonder if this option is available to all at JOey LAnD or is it that just certain posters are given this privilege? Or could it be the multiple (personalities) posters of a certain someone (JOey & Edith)? Things that make you go hmmm...

Easch individual member can create and then store Avatars on their user account ... they simply upolad them to their profile and then ... they have them stored for future use ... I myself have 4 stored even though I don't change them often.

Lus I understand what you're saying, but let me further explain without giving too much away to the DOlts at JOey LAnD.

On a users profile you can choose to use an avatar. Depending on the activeboard site, you can have 1-?? avatars in your account, but only one is active at a time.
Activeboard's coding creates a placeholder for an avatar when that user posts to the board. It then loads the code or metatag of where the avatar is located (hosted).

When you load an avatar to your account you have 1 of 3 choices. 1)Use activeboard's library of preselected avatars, 2) upload your own from a file on your PC, or 3) enter the url of where your avatar is located.

The first 2 choices end up with activeboard creating a generic file location/name for your avatar and loads it from there. The third choice has activeboard loading your avatar from the url address from the host server or PC. The only problem with that is if the avatar is removed or changed on the host server you can end up with a different avatar or none at all.

Follow me so far?

Now when you use the activeboard's library of avatars your avataris tagged: http://www.sparkimg.com/forum/avatar/lib/lib_avtr_123.gifwith the ID being that library selected avatar.

When you upload an avatar from your PC, the avatar is tagged: http://www.activeboard.com/avatar.img?ID=12345 with the ID being a a sequentially generated number by the activeboard server.

When you use a URL to tell the script to go find and load your avatar from another server it's tagged like this: http://www.avatarsdb.com/avatars/rogue_blonde.gif


If you were to look at the tags for JOey's, Promises My Ass, Doherty is a Prick, Rose Colored Glasses, Lisa and Can't Fight City Hall to name a few and looked into the tags on their avatars you'd see the URL points to dohertydeceit as the host server. That's my original question.

If you go on the thread that offers the avaters and look at all the posters picking their sign you will notice a few distinguising characteristics. 1 is almost all of the posters in that thread are 1 time posters. This tells me it is Joe himself creating a laundry list of characters to add to his ego.

2 they all answer with one sentence or phrase. IE> can't wait to use my freedom's blah blah .......There are not a lot of people in the city that goive a **** enough to post in that stupid board let alone say such retarded **** as I cant wait to use my freedom. Joe would say that because he cloaks his agenda in freedom much like a televangalist or KKK member.

They are a sad bunch over there. Nothing but a bunch of dizzy bitches spreading rumors.

It is quite possible that SherryFerlicher is another one of Joe Pilchesky's alter egos ... in my opinion a fine example of Joey trying to rally the troops around him ... they are circling the wagons.

Preacher these are a few examples of what it is you are trying to tell us ... and if you are right then this is somewhat proof of what we have been saying since day one ... the posters who have DD tagged avatars are the ones that more than likely Joey and Edith use to bolster membership at PD .... I notice that most of these have very few posts to their name .... very interesting theroy you have come up with.

Here we see that the posters that post the most at DD ... are not tagged DD avatars .... hmmmmm.

Yea, the communication blackout has been lifted. That's another story in of itself. Sorry I digress sometimes.

Lus someone down the hall posted a question similar to what I've been asking with regards to the correlation between avatars hosted on DD and the DD membership. JOey put some half-assed spin that they technically don't host avatars on the DD site, they do it as a courtesy to the flock who don't know Jack about computers and others piped in as to what a help JOey & Edith are for them about posting articles, avatars, etc. Basically JOey side stepped the issue and moved on.

Still it opens up to questioning - how many individual members (not counting multiple accounts) does JOey LAnD actually have and why would someone want to take out a layer of protection and ownership (Sparklit verse DD)with regards to perhaps a controversial avatar and open your site up to additional liability.

So if that's true Preacher .... where is the link that allows one to get one of the DD hosted avatars??? I think he's blowing smoke up their asses again ...

How about some of the avatars ... they are getting a bit more vulgar than they were .... I don't know why they need the sexually explicit and violent avatars ....

If you know more than the average bear about computers, it's possible to gleen information from those bull$hit "save-your-avatars-HERE" sites. Push the right buttons and much of the information is right there for the world to see. Boss man probably offers his best and brightest access into the belly of the beast so their identities are safe from prying eyes.

Long time reader, first time poster.

Lus, DD has a link to avatars under the citizens interest links. But they donot appear to beDD hosted.

It's too bad that DD is off the deep end, this area could certainly benefit from having a forum to debate our political issues.

It is too bad that DD went of the deep end ... it is also too bad that DD has only ever allowed opinions that conform to the DD way of thinking ...
