Joe, if I may suggest, I know you well enough and long enough to know that you, of all people, can deliver a powerful presentation with words well over their heads. Why not embarrass their intellect that way? Leave them scrambling to even understand what you're saying. You know, the Times has done a blackballing campaign against you. It may not mean anything to you and maybe it rolls off you like water of a ducks rear, but they have done some damage. Think about that. Damage control is the way to go. Capture the people with your intellect. Smother them with it. They're going to want to see and hear the man who won in the Supreme Court without a lawyer and beat the state police on free speech issues.Give that man to them.Give them a leader. That's really what the people need now, a leader. YOU.

Joe may I make a suggestion. Do what you do when your ready to do it,do it.Yor hands are on all of the levers. One thing I have learned from experience is when someone isoperating a vehicle do not distract them from the task at hand, a wreck maybe the result. So far you have had a well regulated war room and strike when appropriate.If you needed my advice or anyones god help us all.
One comment more than likely way off base and youare free to pull this down. You know help is available. It would have to be in unmarked coffee cans under a bridge or in strict confidence. One thing I think people don't consider is when you take your first dollar publicly the crucifixion starts.I can see the front page of the times, Pilchesky misusing donations from the little poor people, will notsubmit to public audit etc. etc, and on and on. They would love it, anything they can TWIST to destroy you.

Gatelli and Fanucci are not going to benefit from any fear I have about imagery. The image I see in the mirror is the only one that matters to me. That's the one I have to sleep with. I'm not running for any office, so I don't need or want popular opinion or support. I'm going to do what has to be done. Popular or otherwise. My methodswill bemy choice of political weapons. It can't be heard that someone enters your life with hidden corrupt intentions, then acts out those intentions to your harm and injury and then you, by the demands of socialgrace,are relegated to responding withdemur and courtesy. I don't think so.Whatever man or womanwho was elected in trust and cofidence chose to function from the unethical, immoral and unjust has a date with justice.For the people,it's an ugly situation. The caveatfor them is that they've never been to the next level of accountability, neither has Doherty. It's unpleasant. The Enola Gay was sent on a bombing mission with taxpayer money. Present day, the war on Iraq is paid for with taxpayer money. Even the political wars in a small city such as this needs financial support, and I don't mean to call your efforts small. Your ideals are lofty, Mr. P., but no lofty ideal can keep running without fuel. You're banging heads with an extremely well fundedmachine. I'd have more respect for you if you allowed others to help out by contributing.Why handicap yourself? More money means more effective. More effective means better results. It makes sense to take contributions if it means you can be more effective. Lose the stubbornness already.

(isn't there someone close to him that did something very similar)

Thats the beauty part. Who would ever know. I am not saying this guy is that stupid. I dont think he is. I think the people who think he is some sort of crusader are the stupid ones. He is actually pretty sharp, not sharp enough but sharp none the less.

Joe said he was going to do what needed to be done in Sept .... still waiting!

Joe said he was going to file several lawsuits against PD ... still waiting!

Joe said he was going to begin speaking at Council Meetings ... still waiting!

Joe said he was going to win all of his lawsuits as they were sure winners! ... still waiting ... oh that's right ... he lost most ... can't say all ... I think one was a winner!

Joe said he would take Doherty Down ..... still waiting!

Joe said he would make Gatelli resign .... still waiting!

Joe said Doherty was getting a big job in Harrisburg .... still waiting!

Seems as though nothing Joe says is truth .... yet the sheep blindly follow ... now the sheep want to give him money ... I don't think so ... it is only my opinion but I would say that poster Make Way is Joe ... looking to rally the troops into giving him money ... this way it does not look like it's his idea it looks like the sheep are following him ... well Joe only your sheep are stupid enough to believe that they will follow you that far ... haven't we paid enough for your lawsuits through tax dollars now you want money from the minions ... get over yourself you are not quite as important as you think!

Tim, I absolutely agree. I don't think Joe Pilchesky is stupid either; in fact, I think he's a fairly bright guy...

...he's one of the better writers on DD
...he's clearly got some intellectual curiosity about him
...he's created a niche for himself among a small group of bitter folks
...he's learned how to manipulate his posters (just when Joe is getting an a$$ kicking, along comes some outrageous "Anti-Joe" poster to rally his troops)
...he has some measure of charisma with his clan members
...he is able to more or less holds together a disparate group (Racist/Anti-Union Anti, various Union heads, etc., all bound by a love-o-Joe)


Cult-leaders are seldom stupid individuals. The real dolts are Pilchesky's followers, especially those who rush to his defense no matter what (Joe says the 'N' word? No problem...), without so much as a crumb's worth of critical, independent thought.

On some level, blaming Joe for acting the way he does is like blaming a rat for gnawing through a garbage can...after all, it's in a rat's nature to gnaw, that's they do.

I am still trying to figure how that can have happened..they claim their site is for adults only, ( I have to assume they mean by amount of years lived, not by any show of emotional maturity) that it is ok for them to spew day and night since "only adults" read their site.....sooooooo where did the kid come from,I ask you?? Just wondering?? :)

Adults mentally or physically? In the case of his web site, I'm not sure if many members there have intellectual capacities beyond high school, if even that. Come to think of it, with the way they resort to petty name-calling ("Fatnucci" for example), I wouldn't be surprised if their average I.Q. was roughly 47. It's scary to think that these folks "represent the people of the city of Scranton." I know folks in Scranton by and large aren't that dumb (at least I hope not!) weirdfaceI'm moving there in a few years to raise my family after college, and if unintelligible dolts like Les Spindler, Fay Franus, and Andy Sbaraglia are all I have to look forward to as neighbors, I'm a bit concerned. hmm
