Thanks for your answers, Joanne, but maybe I should have been more clearer. Your husband has rocked a lot of boats. A lot of people, like myself, are looking to know more about the man behind the man. What makes him tick. Who is he, really? Where does his "no fear" approach come from? Getting the picture? A lot of people in powerful places drop his name all the time. He makes them nervous. All of them. I have a friend who claims to know him very well, but you live with him. You're the best place to get answers, if you don't mind talking about him. You two seem to be incredibly tight soulmates. Inquiring minds just want to know. 1. Back to the first question. What's it like living under such intense pressure from so many directions? That really what I should have asked. 2. It's love him or hate him. The people that hate him really would love to see his obit sooner than later. Don't you fear for his safety? 3. Spoken like the true wife of a warrior, but we already know he's a warrior. It's the "other" side that we want to know about. You know, is he a romantic, passionate, generous, forgiving, a good friend, sensitive and stuff like that? So many other parts of your life with him is so transparent, I'm hoping you'll share some inside information on who he really is when his claws retract and the his jaws close for the day. If it's too personal, that's OK. I don't know if I don't ask.

The ladies in this family would like to know what makes him tick. He's a special man, very special, indeed. There are so many questions I could ask, but I don't know if it's OK. People want to know that stuff. What's he like with kids? What's his favorite movie? What music does he like? Let's face it, he's made it clear that he's here to stay and he's a formidable force to be reckoned with in more ways that one. I ask the same question. Who is the man behind the man that makes politicians wet their pants?

No animals were hurt, thank God. __________________ The person that loses his conscience has nothing left worth keeping.
It's another example of a Doherty photo-op and ignore. The zoo was closed for several reasons. First, it was inhumane the way the animals were kept. The facility was a relic of the past, a building several decades behind in the way animals should be kept. Second, the expertise to care for the animals was not there and the money to pay for the expertise was not there. Finally, the city did not have the money to support the zoo. As the Genesis Wildlife Center, nothing has changed. If anything, it has gotten worse. The building has deteriorated. The building is not up to the standards of a zoo. There are, have been or continue to be problems with the wiring, sewer and water services. Most importantly, the city does not have the money to fund this enterprise. The city does not belong in the animal care business when we can't fund public safety. It is time we realize after the photo-op, there is ongoing maintenance and bills. This center allegedly runs on private donations. I'd like to see exactly how much money is spent by the city on maintenance and repairs plus the money the city has "donated" to the center. I love animals and the fact that we can't properly provide for their care is the reason I hope this center is closed as soon as possible. Some things can be done in typical Doherty fashion, money dumped into the project, picture taken and then the project is ignored, like the rutted Davis Trail and there are some things that can't be done that way. Animals can't be sheltered in a building that does not meet their needs. They can't be fed on the hoped-for donations and they can't be cared for using utilities that are sometimes functional. We can't care for them. It's time to improve their lives. It's time to find them a new home and get this city out of the zoo business for once and for all. __________________ "When they came for me, there was no one left to speak out." -Pastor Martin Niemller http://nobodyscorner.blogspot.com

Genesis Wildlife Center's latest form 990-EZ from 2005 has their total revenue as $89,998. They don't break that up to show how much came from government sources. Although they do show a $60,000 grant. Maybe you can match this up to a line item on the City's 2005 budget. Of that grant they spent $55,942 on their sole program to "Provide for the supervision and management of the City of Scranton's Nay Aug Zoo and Wildlife Sanctuary." Their sole salaried employee is the Asst. Zoo Keeper who works 30 hours a week and make $11,232. __________________ "First they ignore you; then they ridicule you; then they fight you; then you win." -M. Gandhi

Joe Pilchesky Posts: 1834 Date: Dec 9 10:58 AM, 2007 Views: 190 Quote | Reply TT names new Metro editor to address horrific reporting?? The TT has namend Jeff Sonderman as the new "Metro" editor. It's an impressive article highlighting his credentials. I don't see the term "dignified" anywhere in the article, or the promise of responsible, accurate reporting. His expertise is well-footed in health care, so these twisted and spun articles by Stacy Brown regarding the impact on the city's finances due to health care management should take a turn toward accountable reporting. It's a nice article that's substitutes for "Metro editor fired" due to horrendous and horrificly disturbing reporting by Stacy Brown, and others, as well as many manipulative and misdirecting editorials that turned the stomachs of those who know the truth. We'll see if Mr. Brown stays the irresponsible journalism course or if Sonderman reels in his proclivity for blatant lies and storytelling to the harm of the citizenry. And, we'll see if there's a change in Pat McKenna's embarrassing editorials. It shouldn't take too long. Time will tell if Sonderman is just another puppet in a long line of puppets.

The first thing Soderman better address is the relentless attack on the city unions as the reason why the recovery plan can't be implemented. What an embarrassing statement that's been repeatedly in the paper. The recovery plan was implemented the day the voters OKed it. What the mayor did with it has nothing to do with the unions. They've been the fall guy for six years now. We're tired of reading it and we know it's not the truth.

I'll clean this up later. Sorry, I know it's hard to read as is - but I wanted to copy and paste it before Joe deleted it all. Have no doubt that Dumb Blonde is one of his mods. She was one of only three people online while I was posting and I got banned. Outed! Another Joe/Evans puppet.
You guys have to teach me how to do the copy/past thing while keeping all of the space breaks and logoes. If someone who knows how can do it, feel free to edit my posts - if they're still there!
Seriously for a moment, if you were just an average Scranton resident viewing DD for the first time and that thread was the first you read, what would you think? It's really creepy. I kinda get the whole "watching government"...and there really is a place for that...but hero worship?

That is by and far the most creepy thread ever. I don't want to end up looking like an idiot but i have a gut feeling that all these posters are Joe, and one or two other people. I can see him thinking to himself that he needs a puff peice thread to get his image re-directed away from racist sociopath.
Dumbblond is there own person but i think the others are either Joe or Edith.
That whole Three questions for Joanne Pilchesky thread is creepy, it reads like an internet version of Tiger Beat. I actually did throw up a little in my mouth in reading that.
What's really funny us that it does sound like a bunch of middle school girls asking EDith what's that JOey really like.
Also could be a post to show a kinder, gentler JOey. Think about it, if Edith does go away, will JOey get custody of little JOey or will he be deemed not fit to raise the child with his bragging about loaded guns in the house, using every racial slur available, and his anger management issues.
