Check out this post.....she is upset that Judy may have "spies" her word not mine at the council meetings. She is further shocked that they are there perhaps because Judy may need moral support. What?!! You mean Judy might have friends who come to meetings to help her??!! Who would ever have thought of doing that?!! Now let me think....Missy Jan was a school director... Fay and the minions went to school board meetings. Missy Jan became a city council member... Fay and the minions go to city council meetings instead of school board meetings.

Hummmmmmm nope..... no ever puts their own people in the audiance except Judy...nope nobody but Judy. :))))

I don't for one second agree with how the Doherty 3 treat the taxpayers of this city, but last night it seemed that Fay didn't have anything of substance to say...she basically went up there with the intent of picking a fight with Gatelli, which, in my opinion, is a waste of everyone's time and takes a lot of credibility away from Fay and from the anti-Doherty movement.

If the biggest problem in Fay's world is who's friendly with who at council meetings, then clearly this city isn't nearly as bad off as she's claiming.

Scotty, what credibility did Fay have going into the meeting in the first place? She's the female version of Ray Lyman, just with a bunch more bitterness. Both rant nonsensically; Ray's just not a crotchety old hag like Fay is.

I heard one of the weirdest things ever regarding 'foam at the mouth', but I'm a little hesitant to post it. It came from a very reliable source and is only 1 person removed from the witness. It might of been the funniest and flat out most disturbing thing I've heard in my life. It happened a long time ago, though I only heard it recently.

I really dont feel comfortable telling a secondhand story over a messageboard (unlike many at DD) and am also a little scared as to any repercussions that would come of it (like lawsuits or any other rediculuous stuff that could happen).
But did anybody else hear this disturbing story about redecorating fays house?

Well DaMarvine you made the right choice if you are not sure that it isn't true ... don't put it up ... but if it's killing you to tell it feel free to PM anyone of us with the story ... as I am sure that we would love to hear it. I never said that we didn't like to hear stories that may not be true ... we just don't like to put them up on the site!

I completely trust and believe my source. I just dont feel right gossiping on a messageboard. I was curious as to whether anybody else heard the story. She didnt do anything bad, but like I said it was one of the funniest and bizarre things I have heard.

It's just my opinion, but I've always thought that even the most unattractive person always looks better with a smile. You could put Fay into the finest couture from Paris and it would be overpowered by that scowl she wears all the time.

Did anyone notice after Bill and Janet asked to get Scranton Today back on until matters with ECTV could be taken care of-that Bob McGoff still was saying--we need to give ECTV a chance-- --WHAT??? We have given them chance after chance--Judy Gatelli no way wants these metings on television-- and Doherty certainly does not-- it is election suicide for them--Patsy McGoff is doing just as his master wants him to-- keep ECTV there--I sure would like to know how legally they can get away with using our tax dollars to support their private business?? JOE??? There is to be a public hearing--we need to get a date--unlike all the other hearings that are never brought to light--this next meeting Billy and Janet mentioned having Mark M. and Darcy come in at 5:45 to address questions-I would hope everyone reading this would make it apoint to pack the meeting--and I would hope someone from council makes it a point to have this filmed unlike the caucus with Stu Renda--when the camerman stood there --camera in hand and simply didn't tape it because "no one asked him to"--but McGoff said no one was there to tape it----that was a bold faced lie--Even Janet adressed the fact that Tony, the camerman was there but just wasn't taping-- of course at the time council didn't know it wasn't being taped until it neve rshowed up on television-- who would ever have thought that one needed to be asked--but now we know-- we desperately need Scranton Today back--ECTV had their chance and are going to get OUR money-- nice huh? When does this end--this abuse of our money--as long as Gatelli , McGoff and Fanucci sit at that dias we are prisoners! Try to find out when public hearing is to be held and please go--also this week at 5:45 to hear Darcy and Mark try to explain their way out of this joke-- and maybe tonight the council meeting may be on--since it did not air last night--who knows--worth checking-- today at 2:30 as well--but no one can see it at 2:30-- that is why it is on at that time--

what the hell are you talking about aqua regarding going to public meetings? i read your post three times and still don't know what meetings are being held for ectv. first you say there needs to be a public hearing, then you say find out what time the hearing is, and then you say this week at 5:45. wtf???

I think what she means is that possibly before the next council meeting there will be a caucus meeting to discuss ECTV and she would like people to attend ... and then all of the other times she is throwing around are the times that the meetings should have aired but did not???? I am not really sure ... but I really don't know if council can compell these people to show up for a caucus meeting ... hell they couldn't force Kenny McDowell so how can they force people who are not public servants? Just something to think about!

What's interesting about Fay is that she rails against the actions of City Council, but then when someone on DD complained about the poor service and Draconian actions of the water company Fay was just full of rationalizations. It's almost funny.

The ECTV folks rely on government funding, so I think it would be in their best interests to get their asses over to City Hall to answer questions, of which there seem to be plenty.

ECTV has done an abysmal job thus far. Until now, I have attributed that subpar performance to a lack of funding. Let's see what happens now with the $90,000 hitting their ledger.

I miss my council meetings. There have been times when I almost drove down to watch in person. But then I regained my sanity.

I attended one city council meeting in my life. The word "surreal" comes to mind. The people in the audience reminded me of student actors getting ready to get on stage for their part in a high school play.

As for ECTV, I agree that they haven't done as good a job as Scranton Today, at least in terms of airing Scranton's favorite sitcom, Konsil Meetings. I want the meetings on line, as ECTV promised, so that I can watch people like Fay whenever I'm feeling sorry for myself.

They are not doing a good job ... it is quite clear ... I would like to be able to hear what people are saying without turning the volume all the way up on the television set ... and then it's still hard to hear ... I agree with Girl ... the closeups are a bit much ... and what is up with the break ... they run out of tape or something ... that should be addressed ...

But as far as never missing a council meeting ... well I used to make sure that I was available to watch every week ... but then I found that it's only the same thing week after week ... so now I catch it once in a while ... it's like DD ... I have been quite bored with DD lately ... and I couldn't even tell you the last time I checked with the kids across the hall ... they bore me and everytime I read one of the posts I feel as though I have already read it ... it's just not got that entertainment ... or shock value it used to have ... nothing that they say over there shocks me anymore!

DD has become a copy and paste site full of Scranton Times articles. The other articles are from around the country where Newsman copies and pastes after googling corruption. These articles usually have nothing to do with Scranton, or come from other cities local crazies website.

There are only so many ways you can say Doherty sucks or Judy Gatelli looks "butch" before both get old. Even Pilchesky is borded with it...why else go after that dude in Covingtown Township (well other than the fact that the Covington dude is an easier target than Mayor Doherty)?
