I have been taking a trip through the wonderful world called DohertyDeceit.com ... I find it amazing that the election was on Tuesday results were in by Late Wednesday evening and yet they are still arguing over who the better candidate is ... Hey guys ... it's a moot point right now ... you lost get the F over it ...
Here is a very good topic for discussion ... someone asking for some information to help homeless veterans ... but guess what ... almost 24 hours later this post goes unanswered ... no a single reply ... Imagine that!
Ten year end Chronic Homelessness In all of 2006, the National Alliance to End Homelessness estimates that 495,400 veterans were homeless at some point during the year. The group recommends that 5,000 housing units be created per year for the next five years dedicated to the chronically homeless that would provide permanent housing linked to veterans' support systems. It also recommends funding an additional 20,000 housing vouchers exclusively for homeless veterans, and creating a program that helps bridge the gap between income and rent.Following those recommendations would cost billions of dollars, but there is some movement in Congress to increase the amount of money dedicated to homeless veterans programs. On a recent day in Philadelphia, case managers from Project H.O.M.E. and the VA picked up William Joyce, 60, a homeless Vietnam veteran in a wheelchair who said he'd been sleeping at a bus terminal.
"You're an honorable veteran. You're going to get some services," outreach worker Mark Salvatore told Joyce. "You need to be connected. You don't need to be out here on the streets."
I need to know how our City/County is handling these issues as it now is getting cold and we do have this program.
Whos is in charge, how does it work, where does funding come from, how is it spent?
Mental Illness and homelessness seem to always come together, where and what do our Advocates do?
This is just the beginning our veterans need our help as do all that suffer from some sort of Mental Illness. The holidays are coming also, change of seasons, all contributes to depression.
I need your help anyone and everyone let's help these men and women did not ask to be ill, if we can save just one person it would be worth it.
It is a fight that can and will be won, lets start asking questions.

Shame on you Pilchesky ... you care so much about veterans and you didn't even have the dignity to respond to this post ... Wake up people do you not see that the Pilchesky's care about nothing and no one but themselves ...

Maybe the vets in question deserve to be ignored and mistreated because they are members of the ICN, or had no self value or pride by voting for Doherty. Did you ever think of that Lus? Maybe the vets deserve everything they get (or don't get).
I for one will not sit here and allow you to question the sincerity of Joe Pilchesky when it comes to veterans issues. If he and his sheep are ignoring the post, they must know something we don't.
Sorry I had to be so rough on you, but dammit, by now you think you'd realize that Joe and his pals know it all.
I'm sorry Art ... I just thought that Pilchesky respected all veterans ... out of respect for his father in law ... we all know how close they were! After all if it were not for Mr. Conrad Joey would not have had to start DD ... he would have no hobby ...
And no I am in no way disrespecting Mr. Conrad who served this country ... I think that the Pilchesky's have disrespected his name enough!
I applaud and thank him and every veteran for the service and dedication that they have shown to this great country of ours!
