Let's get a few things straight. Pilchesky, Polling, etc.
Sitting back and listening for a few weeks have made a few things clear:
1.) The Times of course is not always accurate in their reporting, however, if what they said about Joanne is true, in regards to her forging checks, then the Pilchesky's will havea serious problemon their hands. I would like to give her the benefit of the doubt, but I will reserve judgement on that matter until all of the information is made public by Joe. Their is never any excuse good enough for falsifying documents. If what the Times reported is false, and I have no way of knowing if it is,then I wish the both of you the best of luck.
2.) The 180 turnJoe has made when it comes to Bob Cordaro is amazing. No one was more critical of Cordaro than Joe, up until their settlement out of court. I have tried to get those details from Joe, but he has declined, which is obviously his right. But it does beg the question, did the settlement have anything to do with what Joe is now saying. If so, I think his loyal followers should be aware of that. The timeline is as clear as day to me. Maybe Joe can explain...My main critique of some of Joe's points regarding Cordaro is that Joe somehow correlates lying and unethical behavior with being a fighter. IfCordaro lies and isunethical in his behavior and work performance, and he doesn't quit, should he becompared to Rocky Balboa, as Joe has done here recently? If that is the case why doesn't Joe do the same for Doherty? He has taken far more criticism than Cordaro has, and he hasn't resigned, so does that make him a fighter comparable to Rocky Balboa as well Joe? Logic would say no, but I am curious to hear Joe's thoughts.
3.) When it comes to judging the validity of polling Joe, as you have told me, you should never speak as though something is fact when you clearly are not well educated on how polling works. First of all the reputation of the polling company used in the Commissioner's race speaks for itself. They do this everyday, all day. Yet I am suppose to believe that you or anyone else on this board is somehow more qualified to interpret the polling results than they are? Really? Somehow you know more about an appropriate sample than they do? Really? Look them up.
Second, the idea that sampling 300 likely voters in Lackawanna County is somehow not a good enough of a sample is misguided. The latest NATIONAL PRESIDENTIAL POLLING done by MSNBC and the Wall Street Journal was a sample of 1,000 likely voters. That is a National Race for the Presidency. This is Lackawanna County. If you target the right people it is amazing how accurate polling could be. Just go look back, as I did, and look at the polling done by this Washington based company, and see how accurate their polling ended up being before you go dismissing it altogether. People who dismiss things without solid research to back it up are either ignorant or lazy, neither of which are ways that I would describe you, which is why your statement surprised me so much. I realize you have a lot on your plate at the moment, but don't expect that reasonable people will blindly follow everything you say on this board. Some of it adds up, and some of it does not.
4.) Finally, the Cordaro posters on this board have re-engerized me in this election. Their disrespectful and arrogant discourse has reminded me why I, and so many others in Lackawanna County, would like to see the current majority given their walking papers.
Also, the ploy that the Cordaro camp is trying here is laughable. They have tried to piggy back Joe's notion of voting for the "lesser of two evils" in order to garner more support for their team. Joe knows that if Cordaro wins, that he would be extremely beatable next time around. That is true, but not a good enough reason to vote for anyone in my opinion. If voterson this boardtruly feel that there is no candidate in this race worth voting for, then dont vote, or run for office yourself. If everyone stinks, and you are the only person with the answers, thenplease do us all a favor, and RUN. Enlighten us.There are to manyMonday morning quaterbacks on this site. Step up, anddo something about it, or stopcriticizing those who have the courage to try to make our area a better place. If you have all of the answers, then let's have them. Reasonable people will agree with reasonable ideas.

Wow ... that's a good post ... how long before Wishy gets banned?

Still up, but Joe appears to be dodging hard questions and the troops are rallying. Once the booze wore off I guess Wishy realized his only form of amusement this side of monster truck racing was about to be snipped by Dr. Joe. I'm sure a friendly little PM from Herr Pilchesky reminded WW that he's on a short leash when it comes to questioning genius.

I am also a big fan of Joe. According to your logic, however, every criminal that Joe has ever given a scholarship to, Austin Scott being the latest, would indicate to me that you would now think that Joe is a bum. Help me understand your logic in that.
As a very proud alumni (Life Member, btw) of Penn State, having the last names Pilchesky and Paterno (not Patero) in the same sentence makes me want to hurl my dinner. Paterno is a class act...Pilchesky is a class-less act.

I hate to disappoint -- although Joe PaterNo is the well-known coach for Penn State, Joe Patero is the inventor of the frivilous "lawsuite". We all thought granma was in one of her typo moments, but Mr. Patero holds the copy rights for the term "lawsuites".
