The first Email sent by Amos was concerning the fact that he/she could not access thier account ... and why is that you all may wonder ... well that would be because Amos is also the one and only banned poster from PD ... that's right ... Restoring the Pride.

I was under the impression from the goons across the hall that employees of the SSD could not even read our site or the DD site from the computers in the School District ... I guess this kind of blows that theory!

RTP/Amos ... you really shouldn't be trying to do this from the School District Computers anyway ...

Thats fine but I work the SSD administration building and I tried every computer here so they are all banned or they are on the same IP address. Thanks I enjoy your site and if and when I get access from home set up I will post.

Now Amos I guess this is where my confusion comes in ... I thought you didn't want to be a part of PD anymore because you were so offended ... so I deleted your account ... I would have banned you ... but I didn't want you to be able to say that you were banned twice!

I think you need to let go of this grudge you have against Paul ... it seems as though Paul holds no ill feeling towards you as he just defended you ...

A few thoughts:

  • How desperate, emailing over and over again. In the end he still got online - but by Lus's terms - he/she posted the emails.
  • He contacted Janet Evans. Really, how? Everyone else who tried got Dave.
  • Chances are that that lapper got the entire admin building banned. I'll bet there's more than a few pissed people who like to log on from work.
  • How stupid? At what point did he not realize that Lus would know the IP?
  • How lame? You somehow manage to get banned from a board with a non banning policy, then you feign shock when you "discover" you were banned. What part of "you're banned - get out" did you not understand.
  • If Paul's post offended you, you never had any business being here. (Pssst - Paul is a moderator - we don't get banned)

I propose that we let him back on, but only if he writes a 1000 word essay on the evils of dd.com with no spelling errors and at least 5 references to objectionable material on that site.

I can only hope we're talking janitor here. Any chance that it's someone that touches actual student oriented functions is a nightmare.

Please don't insult the janitors. I think they'd actually be too busy sweeping the floors than running around the admin bldg checking every computer to see if it could access this site.

Ya know, before being elevated to his current status by the O'Malley majority on the board, Mike Sheridan toiled away in the basement as our Director of Reading.

Given my experience with the Scranton School District's administration (long story there...suffice to say that district CEO Sheridan and I are not what I would describe as 'friends'), I'd say that the janitorial staff in the Administration building are the hardest working individuals in the building. The buidling is clean and well kept (as are all of our schools). The district seems (in my humble opinion) top heavy and not well administerred. You can do the math; anyway, the janitors get more respect from me than most of the administration.

Apologies to the janitors. My point was emphasizing my hopes that an actual teacher, supervisor, support staff member, etc. wasn't being so foolish. If someone who had a job that had nothing to do with students I'd feel better about them being a moron. I'm certain you're all right that the janitors are hard working and conscientious employees.

Things that make you go hmmmmmmmmmmm...

Overhead my man's hairdresser telling someone that she heard from one of his best customers that there is a little bit of an investigation going on with regards to the SSD and employees posting on certain message boards. Not so much about the use of SSD computers, but the employees who teach and coach the fine children of Scranton, who post from where ever to sites thataremonitored underthe Patriot Act.
