The utterly amazing part is the blindness to which the DD troops follow serial-plaintiff Pilchesky. The Mayor takes one wrong step and they are all over him, but Pilchesky can out-right lie, manipulate people & posters, race-bait, etc. and it doesn't raise a (Bo) Peep. Why? Are the DD troops that dumb? Well, I think some actually are; I think some, however, find Pilchesky and his board convenient.
Think about it...if you are against the Mayor (for example you are a Union President) and could harm him and then watch as someone else (Pilchesky) takes the heat. It's an almost perfect symboitic relationship: They want the Mayor bashed and Pilchesky wants to play tough-guy.
