I think you're wrong Glenn...it wasn't Piccolino that brought about the end of DD...Piccolino was just 'convenient'. This is a purely self-inflicted wound on the part of Joe Pilchesky.

Joe will not know which poster you are unless of course you have told him about your posts here.

One form of corruption is ok as long as it exposes another form of corruption ... I don't think so ... Joe in my opinion is the lowest of the low ... and now he has gone even lower than I even thought was possible.

But I ask this ... Joe made the statement that he accessed Piccilino's account ... used it to make a false post ... then he called Maria and told her that he had to do it to make corrections ... typo's and grammatical errors ... basically he told them that he would edit these posts (Joe's words) ...

Later he claims that he has permission from Piccilino to write replys to questions ... but this is my question ... where is the proof of this statement ... where is the email or PM to back up this statement ... and even if it is a PM ... how do we know that Joe did not write it and send it to himself when he accessed this account?

And how can any poster who has been edited for clarity ... or anything else be sure that Joe has not accessed their accounts on one occasion or another and done the same thing to them????

He claims to be there for them ... but in my opinion ... he needs them to further his own personal agenda ... and again I will say ... there is no way this whole thing is over a ramp!

Listen, I hear what both of you are saying, but I only try to change things that I can actually have an effect on. I cannot control what people post. I can only express my opinion on posts I don't agree with. I can't stop them.

As far as my purpose for posting here and there? I feel my city is being put up for sale to a certain few. I don't like it and I focus my attention on that. Everything else is not important to me. If I cannot effect change, by being a "moral authority" on those issues, why try?
I've sent private messages to numerous posters about wrong information or just plain nastiness. Some have listened and toned it down, some have given me the proverbial "gfy".
I came here to bring light to city issues. My mistake. This is not the forum for it as I've been told by all of you.
My point is Joe does not raise my taxes, lower my services or ruin my city government. My elected officials do. That's most important to me. I again, use his forum to share information, state my opinions and hopefully make people aware of certain issues. What others do and say on other issues is their business, not mine. If I don't like it, I won't engage their posts. I "change the channel" so to speak.
I'm not a moderator over there, nor do I have any influence. I'm a bit player, nothing more.

I noticed that none of the "old" DD posters have jumped inon this train wreck.

They must be lying low till later in the week to see how the outcome of the Public Citizen vs. Gatelli appeal work s out. One positive they have going in is that according to Clarence he's sitting second chair.

The other thing they're all wacked out about again is IP addresses.

What they haven't realized yet is that the cookies your PC sends out has more information about you that an IP address.

Furthermore, the FBI does not need a court order to obtain an IP address.Google Section 215 of the Patriot Act to see what I mean. Whether the LOaDs realize it or not - the IPS has to comply and does not have to inform you that they provided that information to them.

So now someone can gettheirIPaddress by filing a FOIA with regards to DD and the posters over there. Or if someone had former ties to Homeland Security they could have called in a favor or met someone for lunch. At lunch they just happen to bring the file with user names & IP adresses. They excuse themselves to go take a cell call outside the resturant for a few minutes and "accidently" left the file at the table.

Also I wouldn't put too much stock in the amount of views a topic generates over at DD. The counter is set up to increase every time someone goes into a topic. Some counters send out a cookie so they track viewers not views. DD's is set up to count views, so someone could sit there and toggle back and forth between a topic and "crank" the views or "hits" up. Be realistic, do you actualy think 2000 people on a late Saturday night viewed that topic in the period of 2 hours. Or even 4000 views by early morning. It might have been someone bored with the Iowa - Wisconsin game and played a game of crank up the views.

Joe did wrong but people can't see that ... he claims he got approval via PM from Gio ... well again I will ask ... how the hell do we know Joe didn't write the damn thing himself ... he already admitted to writing one post prior to gaining approval ... so how the hell do we know that he truly had the approval of Gio to write anything ... why do I ask ... because the approval came via a DD PM ... Think about it people!
