I was a little disappointed in the crowd last night in west side for the Washo and O'Brien party at Villa Maria II. I thought by now these guys would have a tremendous following. If we are going to knock off these 2 tax raising, jail monitering so called commishioners, we better get the vote out and get it out good.furiousfuriousfuriousfurious

Let's review our choices:

Munchak - Has a habit of talking then thinking (fortunately he kept his mouth shut about the recent prison death...guess he learned his lesson), so I seriously question this guy's decision making capabilities.

Cordaro - A smart guy prone to really stupid mistakes; has the second largest ego in Lackawanna County...the largest belongs to serial-plaintiff Pilchesky

Washo - His opposition to No-Bid contracts seemed to lose credibility when it was revealed that his paving company has gotten...you guessed it...no bid contracts from the county.

O'Brien - Someone tell me what executive level leadership experience this dude has???? He looks like he's 19. Maybe him and Hailstone should run on a ticket together next time around. If you add their ages together you might get 2/3rds of a Munchak.

In short, my humble opinion is that we honestly do have four really bad choices this time around. I'll be holding my nose when I vote.

As for the whole tax increase thing, that's a classic red herring. It was the previous commissioners (Corchran and Randy Dispatcher) that spent money like drunken sailors on leave in Bangkok. Sure, Cordaro and Munch are also addicted to the checkbook as well, but give me a much needed rebuilding of the courthouse (as evidenced by tons of bird quano in the attic) any day over a Taj Mahal Visitor Center. By the way, the Visitors Center really does make a fine Day Care Center.

I saw with my own two eyes Wednesday afternoon a certain county commissioner :::coughcoughajmunchakcoughcough::: chatting with a certain white-trucked fire marshal at the Wizard Carwash around 2:15 - 2:30 p.m. Both guys sitting in their dirty vehicles parked side by side, apparently not even thinking about washing those babies. Really deep in conversation - Just chatting away - I wonder what could have happened at the jail recently to have these two in such deep deep conversation.....
